Hallowed Be Thy Name

Where Eagles Dare

ATTN: Crag: you must have far too much spare time, to be 20 posts ahead of me and hit 1000 posts here before me :(.

but anyway, i can't list a top 5 maiden songs, there's too many good ones, and my favourites tend to change.

I think the RiR version is much better.

My top 5 at the moment:

Fear Of The Dark (RiR)
Face In The Sand
Moonchild
The Fallen Angel
Remember Tomorrow (does anyone have a bootleg of the Reading Festival performance of this?)

Welcome! Nice list you got there.

Your grammar and spelling is still better than many of the new members here.

Hells Bells 01-05-2006 09:03 AM

Josh 01-05-2006 10:53 AM

so, i'm finally giving in and making a list of my top 5 songs.

Blood Brothers is my top maiden song, and probably always will be. now, for another 4...
To tame a land
hallowed be thy name
paschendale
out of the silent planet

although the lower 4 tend to change fairly often.

those songs would be on my top 20 but i cant do a top 5 :(

Josh 01-05-2006 11:00 AM

what maiden i want to listen to can also depend on what mood i'm in, like blood brothers always cheers me up, paschendale if i'm feeling thoughtful, the trooper and stuff like that if i just want good ol' heavy metal.

MegaPhony 01-05-2006 11:17 AM

Children of the Damned
Hallowed be thy Name
Can I Play with Madness?
The Trooper
Fear of the Dark

Edit: Thinking about it, there are at least another 10 that are incredible, Aces High, Paschendale, Dance of Death, Rime of the Ancient Mariner.. but I'll stand by those 5.

teh_pineapple 01-05-2006 12:04 PM

ashman 01-05-2006 01:09 PM

I've only got BTP and ToS, TOS is best for me, since I'm a sucka for genius lyrics. Most of the choruses on BTP are just great...

Where is our John Wayne? Where is our Sacred Cowboy now?
Where is the Indian on the Hill? There's no Indians left to kill!

Josh 01-05-2006 02:43 PM

which chorus is that? i really should know.
i just bought this, should be good.

NP: Dream Theater - Gangland. strange version, but good.
