Last UK gig ever?! Good thing I live in the states...:thumb: Is it true they will be on Ozzfest? Now only if we can get Metallica, but that will NEVER happen.

Josh 03-03-2005 06:47 AM

Six Foot Revolver 03-03-2005 06:59 AM

if they played at ozzfest the better play songs from kea, rtl, justice, or master or they will get booed off the stage.

I have heard they wont be doing any touring as of yet because they are still working on the new album, i think its due out in the next 2 months or so..... hmmmmm all i know is once it comes out, give it 3 weeks and they will be touring!!!! thank god!!!!
These are just rumours though.... I know they are putting a lot of time into the Metallica Game....

P.s LONG LIVE METALLICA!!!

whatduffhuck7 03-03-2005 10:22 AM

can someone explain what happend with dave mustaine (spelling?) with metallica, was he in metallica for like 2 weeks then quit? what happend?

Squirrel 03-03-2005 10:28 AM

He was thrown out due to his volatile personality which involved drugs and violence - him and James had a lot of ... "friction" between them.

LarsAgi007 03-03-2005 10:32 AM
He was thrown out due to his volatile personality which involved drugs and violence - him and James had a lot of ... "friction" between them.
Yea, during partys he would get really aggressive, and one night he bit one of Jaymez'z friends on the back of the neck..... The woke Dave mustain up the next day and said here is your ticket back home..... and that was it....
He apparantly said What!!! no second chance???
The thing that most upset him was that he sold everything he had for Metallica's success and then got thrown out..... If you have the Some kinda monster DVD there is an interview with Mustain and Lars on there, its the first time they have met since he was kicked out.....
It is pretty insane!!!!

Squirrel 03-03-2005 10:45 AM

Lars has got it basically ^

Theres rumours/hearsay/mixed facts to do with Mustaine kicking James' dog and stealing a girlfriend or something. Theres probably some truth somewhere in there, but thats the idea: he was a mentalist.

This is probably the only time I'm ever going to post in here.

I don't actually like them, never have, never will. But I do find that Enter Sandman and The Struggle Within are very good songs.

I don't care for the guys voice. But....whatever.

I'm kind of annoyed everyday because everyone around me is a die hard Metallica fan. I respect that they are extremely talented musicians, but they don't really write anything that appeals to me.

Was there any point in that post?

fenderbender89 03-03-2005 12:13 PM

Why does Metallica stop playing MOP at the second chorus live.
(cunning stunts) (Live Sh*t Mexico City CD)
I mean dont play it at all if you don't play the whole song IMO . :upset:

Six Foot Revolver 03-03-2005 12:17 PM

I haven't seen any Metallica DVDs :upset:

Six Foot Revolver 03-03-2005 01:39 PM
I would recommend Live Sh*t.
I have NEVER seen it in any shops here in England

PepsiMetal 03-03-2005 01:41 PM

Rock in rio 2004 is pretty good. I got many songs from antipopvideos.com. Dont know if DVD was released or if it's bootleg.

So are you mad at yourself for not liking metallica's music or are you mad at other people for liking it? I dont listen to what you listen to most likely, but I really dont mind you listening to anything you want to. Everyone likes different things.

Wasn't rock in rio by Maiden?
Wasn't rock in rio by Maiden?
I was talking about 2004 Rock in Rio, Portugal concert. I thought that might have been on DVD somewhere. I know metallica, slipknot, and evanescence were there. Not sure of Maiden.

\m/Pete\m/ 03-03-2005 02:50 PM

I have Cunning Stunts and i love it. I love the fact how Metallica improvises and adds little parts in their solos, drumming, or even the basic rhythm of the song.

If any of you have cunning stunts or seen them live you know what i mean.

vashts80 03-03-2005 02:51 PM

Metallica at Rock in Rio 2004 in Lisboa, Portugal was filmed for TV, but it was also put out on bootleg DVDs.

AimlessDave 03-03-2005 03:02 PM
They have had their music on game soundtracks before, I guess that this time they want to play music for thier own game.
People seem to think that Metallica themselves are getting all the profits off this game and its yet another sell-out move, but I have to disagree. The game company is making the game and has asked Metallica to provide music and the rights to the whole Metallica enterprise, or whatever. I don't even know if it's called "Metallica: the Game" or something, or is it?

Either way, I don't think there's a "James Hetfield Goes to Rehab" level or a "Rob Trujillo crabwalking" minigame or anything.

vashts80 03-03-2005 03:07 PM

Trujillo's crabwalk is god. That is all.

Huber 03-03-2005 03:11 PM

Yeah, it'd make a badass minigame. One of you uber programmers make the Rob Trujillo Crabwalk Game!

Burdcheese 03-03-2005 03:38 PM

Its probably on the internet already. There are Flash designers with far too much time on their hands...

Oh yes... did anyone hear about the dude from New Jersey that did a dance to some techno song? It's this fat guy waving his arms and lipsynching, it's hysterical

Mister_Che 03-03-2005 03:41 PM

True, but some of those movies are awesome.

Burdcheese 03-03-2005 03:43 PM

You won't get any disagreement on that from me. Just don't expect me to be making one any time soon...
