Someone actually gave me a really god recipe for alfredo sauce. It's awesome, but you need to occasionally add a couple pinches of flour to thicken it up a bit. Depends on how much liquid boiled away during cooking.

Shattered_Future 02-10-2006 04:56 PM

Man, garlic knots are good also. We have this restaurant near us that makes the best I've ever had...

Deth 02-10-2006 05:06 PM

I find Italian food overrated. I get sick of it very quickly.

gillygan 02-10-2006 05:12 PM

Is anyone else excited for the 3 day weekend :)?

This made me think...I don't like when I go to a resteraunt and theres Alfredo sauce but its very thin and tastes like nothing.

I'm excited about my 9 day weekend. I have next week off.

magicbus 02-10-2006 05:22 PM

I love Italian food. I just had it. Noodles, Alfredo sauce, chicken, garlic and oreganno(???) and some bread and olive oil. Yummy yum.

Stoic 02-10-2006 05:49 PM

I've never tried a foreign cuisine (except for the standards which are part of our daily life like pizza, pasta etc) and dont really plan to do so in the near future. I find greek food quite satisfying although in general I dont eat much. Also, I'm huge fan of sea food :)

superpeer 02-10-2006 05:51 PM

Isn't Pita Turkish? :naughty:

My parents went to a greek restaurant once and they'll probably never eat Greek food again, they said they got fish with the heads still attached to it, so their fishy eyes would stare at them and nasty squids with everything on it.

Silly Greekies.

Tyler 02-10-2006 05:51 PM

I love Korean food. Yep.

I just bought the Quo Vadis DVD, along with an old Common cd and the live Matisyahu album. I got some...interesting looks from the cashier.

Turks will say it's theirs and we say it's ours. No matter what, I consume lots of it with souvlaki inside :D

Do you mean the fake sushi?

Stormrider 02-10-2006 06:13 PM
Do you mean the fake sushi?
I dunno if thats whats its called. Sometimes theres vegetables and some kind of fish...and other times theres just the vegetables. I'm not realy fond of both realy.

I never had the vegetables and sushi. I dont know what the vegetable sushi is called, so I call it fake sushi because there is no fish.

EDIT: Come to think of it, could it be called a spring role?

I doubt it because there is still the black thing around the rice and the vegetables. Spring roles have a fried crust outside.

But its not like the vegetables in a spring role...its just like chunks or sometihng like that of what ever the vegetable is.

I like Halibut (Oh Canada!) and Salmon, but as far as I know that's alls I dig fish wise. I'm a picky eater.

Stormrider 02-10-2006 06:27 PM

Have you had many other kinds of fish?

Steerpike 02-10-2006 06:29 PM

Crab sushi is the shit. As is salmon sushi.

Personally, I like to do a little fusion cooking. My current efforts all involve Japanese in some way. The Japanese chicken wings still remain my specialty.
