clarified. |
Well, I'm sick today :D
Now for a more unheard reason why the Grateful did are so good. Cowboy/Wild West Themed Originals and Covers Mexacali Blues Me & My Uncle Friend of the Devil Stagger Lee Cumberland Blues Dire Wolf Jack Straw I Know You Rider Alabama Getaway Jack-A-Roe Mama Tried Deal Uncle John's Band Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodleoo Easy Wind Now list those kind of themed songs from any C.R/Jam band. |
Woodstock, sweet avatar, I knew who it was before you told. He looks like a gremlin. But Funk 49 rules on the Crossroads dvd.
|
Thanks, I did see him on the Crossroads festival. He's a real character.
I think he even tried to run for president in the 70's. His slogan was, "Free Gas For Everyone!" |
Ok, what do you think was the greatest decade of music? For me, it would be 1965-1975. Every single band I love reached their peak at around this time. Especially the years 67, 68, 69, and 70. I really wish I was alive then.
|
Yeah, the 90's had a couple of good underground years too.
|
North Mississipp Allstar review will be posted in a short time. Check it out!

Pretty good blues for white peoples. :) |

That's the same ten years I would pick. |

1967-1977 (had to bump it up two extra years to get in Bowie's last great albums) |
1967-1977 (had to bump it up two extra years to get in Bowie's last great albums)
I thought about that but then I decided I'd rather include the first two Who ablums, Revolver, Fresh Cream, etc...So I went with 65-75, or maybe 66-76. |
Revolver and My Generation were tough cuts, but I want to extend some love to Bowie.
Although without a doubt the toughest cuts were Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde, and Bringing it All Back Home. Oh, the sacrifices I make for Bowie. |

From The Beatles - rubber soul (I don't know exactly when that was released) to ten years after that.
|
That'd be 65-75, that's probably my choice too.
|
Yeah. Rock started going downhill after 75. And then it went into the 80s
|
isnt it bios considering classic rock, because rock bands from like 6 years ago that may be good may be arent classic rock because its only 6 years ago.
|
Huh?
|
Indeed. They would be rock and roll. Not classic rock.
|
Huh?
My thoughts exactly. |
You have to look past the non making sense and the spelling mistakes.
|
You have to look past the non making sense and the spelling mistakes.
oh.......I still don't get it :( |
Don't feel bad. I'm a master of n00bzorz spek after all.
*Rush is really underrated. |
Yes they are. One thing that gets to me is people say they don't like them, but they respect Peart for his skill. It's like they think he's the only talented member, do they not realize how awesome Geddy and Alex are?
|
^ I don't really like Rush, but I respect Neil Peart for his skill.
:thumb: |
Geddy and Alex are almost as skilled as Neil is.
|
Neil Peart in my view is really overrated..I personally like Geddy Lee's bass and Alex Lifeson's vocals..good power trio.
As for the person who listed the best albums of '65-'77, how can you say Led Zeppelin II wasn't better than III, that's a sin. |
Rush is talented, but I really don't them.
On the other hand, they are a goldmine of unintentional comedy. And II strikes me as "meh", but III is a gem. |
Neil Peart in my view is really overrated..I personally like Geddy Lee's bass and Alex Lifeson's vocals..good power trio.
Geddy sings all the time to my knowledge. |
Rush was very talented, but I don't like them that much. Jack Bruce>Geddy Lee in the "bassists/singers in a power trio" category.
|
Well, obviously almost doesn't cut it
Well, actuallu I don't really have any thoughts on Rush's music. I don't like it, but I don't hate it. As for the skill, I'd say they're all pretty good. I do believe that Geddy is a bit overrated, and Alex is a fool, but whatever. |
Wow that rhcp_r_gods fag just de-repped me. Maybe I wouldn't have said anything if he managed to not be a rambly, incoherent idiot. What a dipshit.
EDIT: LMAO. He carries so little relevence that he didn't even take any of my rep points away. The joke's on you, pal. |
Rush was very talented, but I don't like them that much. Jack Bruce>Geddy Lee in the "bassists/singers in a power trio" category.
I don't know, I may have to ponder over that one for awhile |
Bruce is better. Much better.
|
Why's how good Jack Bruce is relevant to any of this? Nobody said that Geddy was the best bass player or singer.
