Hey there's some good DSBM. Like Austere - they're good for a listen every few weeks.
If you continue to like these guys, perhaps give Wigrid a look for some similar sounding stuff. |
Wigrid is good stuff.

G_Mac,
I didn't know you still frequented these boards, hit the newerest thread, I need you to recommend a whole bunch of music to me. While i'm here, I'm after some black metal with a bit more of an ambient or drone feel, kind of like sunn 0)))-black one, Burzum-Filosofem. I really liked Wolves in the the throne room as well, that's the most recent black metal I've heard. |
check out gnaw their tongues and wold
|
Wold is not what he's looking for at all...
|
Already heard Wold, but I czech'd out Gnaw their tongues.
I quite liked their music from what I heard on their Myspace page, very droning, and some nice instrumentation choices at points (Beginning of Futility). Very dark sort of music, which is what I was after :) thanks. |
ive been digging darkspace a lot lately, along with paysage d'hiver. anything else like that that's really raw and epic but not terrible? recs please
|

Check out Orrery, really good instrumental black metal with some really good ambient influences, should be up your alley if you're into those bands.

Finally listening to my CD of Worship Him for the first time.
This is good. |
It's good. I think Blood Ritual is a bit better though.
|
i can understand mike's liking some dsbm cause like, screamo similarities
|
I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but the new Abigail Williams is great. Sounds like a mix of Emperor and Belphegor.
|

Hawks do you like Dark Funeral?
|

Why are you posting about Abigail Williams in the Black Metal thread? You do it just to get flamed. It's really obvious. |
It's good. I think Blood Ritual is a bit better though.
Yeah, I think I rather Blood Ritual aswell so far. How do you like Ceremony of Opposites? |
That's their last good one.
|

Oh yeah you're completely right. I do it just so I can get flamed. No, I did it because Abigail Williams is a symphonic black metal band. I'm not going to post it in the ****ing death metal thread. |
lol symphonic bm
|
Guys, if it has keyboards and it has high pitched screaming it's symphonic black metal.
