You win for that. VLC is just awesome for videos.
I prefer Zoom Player.

The only thing it can't play is .mkv (which I've never seen outside of the anime community) and the layout is far more user-friendly than VLC.

Most .mkv files I've seen are HD, and about 4-5GB each. Not worth my time at the moment.

Most .mkv I've seen have been about 100-150mb. The "middle quality" between .rmvb and .avi.

.Ogm are the giants.

Mark Cuban might be buying the Penguins to keep them in Pittsburgh.

We're so lucky to have a billionaire from around here.

Tjebby 06-28-2006 02:38 PM

Dude, sydney crosby. wtf? thats not wayne gretzky matierial

Firecracker 06-28-2006 02:40 PM

Death Cab For Cutie are awesome.

Kif 06-28-2006 02:54 PM

The new video from Bullet For My Valentine is hilarious. It's like the girl in it is just "I'm a whore, but I still have my self-respect..."

Firecracker 06-28-2006 02:58 PM

B4MV are crap.
I saw them live, and I didn't like them.
I like 18 Visions though.

Untitled 06-28-2006 03:01 PM

Lol B4MV are possibly the most crap band every, i realy dont like them, or that type of music as a matter of fact.

I remember when i saw my chemical romance last year, and i think they was called as i lay dieing or something where supporting, and me and my mate couldnt stop laughing at there crapness.

cbmartinez 06-28-2006 03:11 PM

Why am I dyin' to live, if I'm just livin' to die?

The whole Blackholes and Reverlations album has been put up to listen to by the band, considoring its not out yet, i think thats a cool move.

But yeah, if you like muse, and havnt heard the album, there it is.

cobert 06-28-2006 03:22 PM

I agree, he was a bit overhyped. I'm just saying about how happy I am the Pens might stay here.

chumpradio 06-28-2006 03:29 PM

Say Anything are supporting NFG on their UK tour in December!
I am going for them alone. I cannot wait. Amazing band.
And NFG have been great everytime I've seen them before.

I'm watching them on MTV Live at the moment. "Endlessly" sounded amazing. Hopefully they will play "Knights Of Cydonia", since I heard it kicks the album's version when done live.

Yeha i like the live version.

I wish i could watch that, but no doubt it will be on torrent the end of the week of something.

Kif 06-28-2006 03:37 PM

I was actually going to record it and upload it, but I couldn't be arsed connecting everything up.

Chris: I heard, but I'll be seeing them support Brand New anyway. I'd have gone to NFG/SA, but none of my friends particularly like either band.

I hope Muse tour for the new album. It's been 4 years since I've seen them, and I so want to hear some new material (Absolution and BHAR) live.

Untitled 06-28-2006 03:40 PM

I hope they will after leeds.

According to the myspace theres a US tour lined up soon, then the festivals, where i will see them anyway, so i hope to see them about december time.

Kif 06-28-2006 03:42 PM

I can only hope so.

I'm wicked-jealous of Matt's guitar now. He has a fucking synth patch on his guitar or something. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. If you've ever seen Bill Bailey's live DVDs, you might know what I mean. That stick where if you move your hand towards it, it makes a weird 'zap' noise. Either way, he was just playing the opening for "Invincible" with it, and now I want one. He's shredding the solo now though :D

OMG realy? that sound so awesome.

he lazer guitar was awesome, but with one of them, jee. He has the best.

I was consoring makeing a guitar like his, some how.

well, i was going to get a Squier tele, one with the pickgaurd over the knobs, and buy a mirror pickgaurd, then buy cheap pedals, pull them appart, route out the back, and put the bits into a guitar, that would be so sweet.

Tjebby 06-28-2006 04:07 PM

I might also add, I'm a flyers fan.

Sorry cob ;-*

Yeah, my mate told me NFG are touring, so I asked who was supporting. She said she didn't know, so I checked their site, saw that it was Say Anything, and near enough creamed my pants.
Hopefully they'll do a couple of headline shows around the time, that's what I want more.

And I know what you mean about Matt's guitar, it sounds like it would be boss.
Muse are such a good live band anyway, can't wait until Leeds when I can see them again.

Kif 06-28-2006 04:13 PM

That synth patch though, I could play on that thing all day. It sounded so awesome. They finished off with "Knights Of Cydonia", which sounded like the album version to me, only with a lot more energy since it was live. Can't argue with that though, since I like the album version.

nobodyblossomsforever 06-28-2006 04:32 PM

What's crackin' cuzes?

And no, you can't make text bigger in the rep comments Kif. :p

Kif 06-28-2006 04:37 PM

I hope it doesn't suck. :-\

Kif 06-28-2006 05:03 PM

Is that the one they played live at Download? If so, I heard it's pretty boring apart from the solo. But then again, any news about Metallica playing a new song is going to be heavily criticised.
