im going to the bodom/slayer show this summer. mosh pits at metal shows are usually pretty intense, i cant imagine what slayer will be like...
im thinkking of picking up a bodom dvd this weekend, any suggestions? im interested in seeing that Follow the Reaper with the Vivaldi part, but I'd also love to see a live show on DVD. thanks
If you want Passage to the Reaper, search on google video. If you want live, just wait for their first one that comes out soon, they shot it on their last tour. |
Meh, my priority of excitment is
1. Lamb of God 2. Mastodon 3. Children of Bodom/Slayer 4. Thine Eyes Bleed
Children of Bodom be the only band there I like. And I despise Hot Topic. |

Pause the video until it loads all the way. :thumb: Try that if you haven't. |

Hey Mitch, How hard is that Nile song you play? Sacrifice Onto Sebek?
The only part I know is the first minute or so, and it's really easy, at least for me. The second half looks difficult as far as I can remember cause they're picking pretty fast, since it clocks in at 265bpm.
oh yeah google video. well anyway my computer is much too slow to watch those. the sound is always 2 steps ahead of the image. oh well. can it be downloaded as an audio file?
I suggest trying what "I'm Charming" said, let the whole thing load, then watch it. Or if you have Guitar Pro, you can get the tabs for the all exercises and the Vivaldi thing. Or I have the classical version of it. Or I could rip the audio from the Demonstration 1 and 2, not the exercises, I cut that section out of my copy. |
What do you guys think is the most fun song to play by Nile?
|
What do you guys think is the most fun song to play by Nile?
I'll say Lashed To The Slave Stick but that's the only one I know or have tried. |
Even though this is a CoB thread, I'll vote for Sacrifice Unto Sebek, the song frikken RULES!imo.

@Che Guevara: do you have some string skipping exercises too?! if yes, can you send them too? thanks. repcak@gmx.at
What do you guys think is the most fun song to play by Nile?
The Burning Pits of the Duat. It kills the wrist, but it's really fun to play. |

Isn't that the one that Karl said was painful to learn? I always wondered how playing a song could be so physically painful. |
Did CoB tour Britain recently?
|
Bodom was ****ing amazing last night, best show ive ever been to. The pits were great.... and i got crowd surfed :D
|
Follow the Reaper, followed by Hatebreeder, Hate Crew Deathroll and Something Wild :thumb:
am only gonna get one for now, which one? |
Follow the Reaper
but, tell me first, what have you heard already by CoB? |
Follow the Reaper
but, tell me first, what have you heard already by CoB?
are you dead yet?is what i have heard, it kicks ***. |
hm... yeah. Are you dead, yet? ... i talk about the album: its a "hard" release. the older albums are more classical.
i think, the best would be to buy "Hate Crew Deathroll"; its one of my favourites albums and it's more in the direction of "are you dead, yet"; its hard and not as classical as maybe FtR or Hatebreeder and Something wild. but i don't know if you like classical things... if yes, go and get Follow the Reaper. |

yes, but it depends if you like classical elements (power metal); if you like more harsher/harder stuff like Are you dead, yet? get HCDR.
lets see what the other members (like MRDuCran, I'm Charmin, etc.) will say... |

the fact is that Cob are getting harder and harder from album to album.
in Something wild there are a lot of parts by mozart etc. Hatebreeder is very classical too! Follow the Reaper has the best leads (and songs, imo) Hate Crew Deathroll ... no classical elements anymore (not as much as in older albums), but the songs are all great! Are you dead, yet? ... hm... i still don't know what to think about it. its not bad, but there is missing something ... but i don't know what. |
