Im thinking about switching out of gym,( if my mommy lets melol) and into instrumental music, that means, i will have Guitar for a period, trumpet for a period then 2 other lame periods.. but music for half the day? i just MIGHT go to school.

Matt? 08-28-2006 04:24 PM

i don't have gym

cobert 08-28-2006 04:25 PM

I love band class. Even though we only lost 4 or 5 people going into this year from graduation and quitting, and we got like, 15 freshman coming in, so it was packed. Gym had a lot of freshmen in it too, its gonna suck this year.

Jessizzle 08-28-2006 04:33 PM

I love gym, Iv taken it every year.
I dont think im going to have time to do everything this year... Jazz band, concert band, Ska band, Work, Sports, drugs, Gah. my after schools are gonna be boooked.

bottlerocket 08-28-2006 04:36 PM

I had to take gym freshman and sophomore years. I cut it every day, I hate gym with a passion. I had a fake cast I kept in my gym locker and would put it on everyday, saying my wrist was broken and that I couldn't play. The teacher saw me walk in without the cast, get it out of my locker, put it on, and then walk up to them. He just didn't care, haha.

Gym was my least skipped class! according to my report card, i only missed it 14 times! which is good for me. I own at gym, i wrote my gym exam ( health) on shrooms, and still got an 80%

Sep 08-28-2006 04:59 PM

Jess, what types of mushrooms have you done?

bottlerocket 08-28-2006 05:04 PM

Mushrooms are sweet.

Jessizzle 08-28-2006 05:21 PM

Gold capppped.

Sep 08-28-2006 05:23 PM

When I was in Amsterdam I just looked at the boxes and the names, didn't look at the caps? Just remembered the mexican and thai ones are the milder ones, and the hawaiian the strongest ones.

Matt? 08-28-2006 06:43 PM

so whats up with boa narrow being sweet?

So I got this Intro To Music class I have to take in college, and one of the requirements is to go to at least 2 concerts and write a few paragraphs about each one I attend. Which is awesome, the only problem is that I live in North Carolina and no good band ever comes here.

i had to do that back in middle school, :o bleh how boring. just do what i did and just go to clubs where local bands play. teachers usually like variety, so maybe go to a jazz club for one and some local rock venue afterwards. simple.

Yeah hopefully there is a little bit of variety around here, I know I'm not going to the country venue, Coyote Joe's. God living in North Carolina can be so disappointing sometimes, lol.

i'm sure it'll all work out. heh, if worse comes to worse, maybe you could hit up two country venues and only stay for 10mins.

 If desperation kicks in then that's what I'll probably do, I'll just have to be wasted on something so the painful country music won't hurt so bad.

Edit: I just checked my Last.fm recommendations and it recommended Love Like...Electrocution, Kite Flying Society, A Wilhelm Scream, Raein, and several shitty bands that aren't remotely related to what I listened to. So which of those bands are worth checking out.

Sep 08-29-2006 04:18 AM

Raein. Check out the songs: Tigersuit, The King Is Dead, Parte 2.

bottlerocket 08-29-2006 11:26 AM

KFS, definitely. I think they're cheesy yeah but I like them a lot.

LL...E is great, too. Someone hook me up with their stuff. It's on my computer at home. :(

A Wilhelm Scream sucks. Listen to Raein.

bottlerocket 08-29-2006 11:48 AM

^ Never heard Raein, but backed on the "A Wilhelm Scream sucks" part.

Raein are incredible. Tigersuit is possibly one of the best screamo songs.
