Lovely Stars is a good song. I liked it better when it was at a higher register, though. The high vocal notes sounded like they were somewhat straining, but that somehow really added to the feel of the song. This new version is good too, though.

Thanks dude. And yeah I just didn't want to do it in that high of a register for the new version since it's fingerpicking and it was too loud to do it that way. And yeah I used to mix the vocals lower in the mix, I just think it sounds better when the vocals are a little higher.

I actually fully agree with this. The person who makes the music intends for the music to sound a certain way. How other people want the music to sound is only relevant if the artist makes music solely for other people to enjoy it. Lots of artists simply make music because they want to express themselves, not in the first place so that others can enjoy the music. If they should then submit to what others tell them it should sound like, it's not really just the expression of the artist anymore.

But yeah, you're right, Kyle. This place sucks. I'm pretty much done posting here. I check back here every now and then, read a few pages and usually decide not to post anything.
