I know, but i'm having a fun time with it as it is.
I'm thinking a real loop pedal. Actually, how's the Rc-50?
It's pretty good, although I've got my beefs with it, having been using it since August. I'd really like more channels to loop on (3 doesn't quite do it for me, all the time). And there are some sketchy latency issues sometimes, depending on what you're playing, where you get that super tiny space between the end of the loop and the start. You can overcome it by practicing with it a lot and getting the hang of it, but it's a hassle when you start with it. I don't use a ton of the features, myself. I got this over the RC-20 because I like the construction, the 3 phases, and some of the other features. But I haven't touched the drums except for a couple of songs, and I haven't gotten really into the panning and whatnot with it. It's a powerful looper, to be sure, though. I probably haven't spend as much time with the guts of it as I should. |
I think it's just easier to find female models, plus women would probably excel drawing a figure they are fairly familiar with.
Well, I'm not complaining. :p I thought there was some unwritten rule, though, where nude models were ugly as sin? |
Seems pretty worthy. If anything that will probably be what i'm looking for. Now, on each track, can you overdub but keep the same existing track going?
Say you do a blues scale, then on the same track record a chord over the bass line. Do both overlap and play? Or does it completely re-write it? And how long is the memory for each track? |
Time for a game of would you rather. Would you rather slide down a hill full of cacti while drenched in vinegar then have a piece of glass stuck into your dick then smashed...or look at Ben naked.
Hehe.. |
Look at Ben naked.
I'd much rather have an erection than a gimped dick. |
Well, I'm not complaining. :p
I thought there was some unwritten rule, though, where nude models were ugly as sin?
It's just more beneficial since it teaches you to focus on the task at hand rather than fantasizing. I think my teacher fancied the model too, which is why she was there 3/4 of the time. The male model wasn't great, probably about average. The second female is god awful. I have some student work on my computer, hold on and I'll upload the bad model. |
Can't I have both?

Say you do a blues scale, then on the same track record a chord over the bass line. Do both overlap and play? Or does it completely re-write it? And how long is the memory for each track?
Yeah, you can overdub on existing tracks. The only thing is that your overdub can only be as long as the original loop. So if you loop 4 bars of something, and go to loop a 6 bar melody ontop of it, it'll cut off at the 4th bar. That's why you have 3 channels, though, so you can have different lengthed things. You can do it, however, so that it overwrites what's on the track. Which is good if you've got a couple things going and then swap one part out for another. The overall memory is, like, 49 minutes or something in stereo, and 99 minutes in mono? Something like that. It's a huge amount. It's got a counter showing you how much time you have left. Say you had 20 minutes of loop time, and you loop a 1 minute track, you'd have 19 minutes. And then you overdub a 30 second track. You'd have 18.5 minutes. When you think about it, most loops aren't ridiculously long, so unless you're saving a lot of things as presets to the memory, you'll never run out of time (after you clear your loops, your available time goes back up). |
Alright, that sounds pretty much what I am looking for. As long as overdubbing and enough memory is there I'm fine.
Edit: damn 500 bones. Looks like I have some scrounging up to do. |

That woman looks like she's pretending to be a wizard.
Good drawings, even though the people are ugly as all hell. |
, and I haven't gotten really into the panning and whatnot with it.
i would highly recommend using the panning. whenever i record multiple basslines, i always pan them. it will add much more space to the song, and will help avoid it being muddy and too busy sounding. :amaze: |

:amaze:
Well, I pan all the time when I record. This is with my looper, though. Panning seems kind of useless to me when I'm only running one cab? |
Yeah, the old woman was pretty haggard and very masculine.

Anyone know a good way of "wearing in" a new set of strings? I'm beginning to get really really frustrated with the ultra-tinny sound...
