What are you getting?

NineBitFable 12-10-2006 06:27 PM
I got my Fender Jaguar. It's orgasmic to say the least.
Freaking crazy. I just got my fender Jaguar! I found out my uncle had a 67' fender Jaguar sitting in his freaking basement, and nearly died. It is all original (still has the jag bridge, which I was thinking of replacing w/ a mustang's. . . but I kind of like it) and even has that crazy mute thing. . . which is terrible, but really cool to have. also, the pickups in it are great. I dont really understand why people hate them so much.

Also of note is the really cool 'made in usa' sticker(?) located under the bridge.

It is my new girlfriend.

Awesome! Mine's the re-issue, so even thought that's not as cool, they improved on the tuing problem, so that's defidently a plus.

And whoever hates Jag's need to be decapitated.

My band members were so jealous when I brought it to practice today (they all play guitar).

I love it like a child.

NineBitFable 12-10-2006 06:35 PM

haha, yea my bandmate was pretty jealous as well. Not only does it sound perfect, but it is honestly the coolest looking guitar ever. Chrome for life.

Did you get Japanese reissue or American?

Eliminator 12-10-2006 07:07 PM

Jazzmasters are better.

pikester 12-11-2006 12:30 AM

So I'm not seeing ...Trail of Dead/Blood Brothers right now.

Should I have bothered? I'm assuming they'll both just play a bunch of crappy new stuff.

pixiesfanyo 12-11-2006 12:40 AM

I wish I didn't have a small gut. :(

bleep_bloop 12-11-2006 12:41 AM

por que

Little Man being Erased 12-11-2006 12:41 AM

nah, ...Trail of Dead would still be awesome live.

meh I would have went although they probably are playing a lot of crap from the new album when I saw them they played a bunch of songs from Source Tags but then again I liked Worlds Apart so I enjoyed all those songs. They get really into it at every show too.

Electronic Wolf 12-11-2006 07:20 AM

I saw Blood Brothers before they released Crimes, and that was alright.

Glitterati 12-11-2006 08:45 AM

I almost had a potentially awkward moment last night. I was at this clothing store about to buy a sweater, and I was talking to these two girls who work there I'm friends with. I mentioned depression to girl #1, and girl #2 walked by and said "Liam, if you're depressed, you know we can give you sexual favours." And my mom was standing right behind them :upset: Luckily she didn't hear. But many lolz were had.

Kyle 12-11-2006 10:20 AM

Serves you right for being such a slut Liam.

YDload 12-11-2006 12:09 PM

ugh R&M is so bad at things that involve humor

show them this link http://www.somethingawful.com/index.php?a=4296 and i bet they'll go crazy

AndreTheHyena 12-11-2006 12:40 PM

The R&M forum is worse than the Pit.

pixiesfanyo 12-11-2006 01:06 PM

R&M is horrendously gay.

Glitterati 12-11-2006 01:11 PM

I don't care much for metal :/

Sam 12-11-2006 01:12 PM

What about The Melvins?

AndreTheHyena 12-11-2006 01:13 PM

I like a lot of metal. I don't like many metal fans.

ATM 12-11-2006 02:08 PM

The Melvins rule.

Kyle 12-11-2006 02:33 PM

I used to like alot more metal than I do now, i've really given up on it as of late.

As for R&M I post in about 4 threads there consistently, but don't even look at any others.

American.
Jazzmasters are better.
Blank post.

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 03:31 PM

Jazzmasters and Jaguars are fairly similar, the only big things are Jazzys have longer necks and different pick-ups.

Sam 12-11-2006 03:32 PM

nuh-uh.

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 03:36 PM

Stop spammin', ye lil' varmit.

Sam 12-11-2006 03:42 PM

What did you do with you spare time before you came here to piss everyone off.

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 03:46 PM

Spammed UG.

My friend told me the Blood Brothers were absolutely awful.

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 04:28 PM
What did you do with you spare time before you came here to piss everyone off.
And you better chill the **** out. I disagree with you on the topic of Jazzmasters and Jaguars, and playfully tell you to stop making such stupid one-liner posts, which you tend to do quite often, and you want to bring that **** up again, even though I've tried to settle down and become a better member of this forum?

Take a chill pill dude.

And on the topic of Blood Brothers, I saw some videos on Youtube, and the performances range from mediocre to horrible.

Zmev 12-11-2006 04:33 PM

Yeah I'm getting ready to call this forum Altindie/Mote since every other post is by you.

Did Eliminator get sick and call you to replace him or something?

Iai 12-11-2006 04:36 PM

^Sputnik December POTM

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 04:36 PM

Haha. Well, I'm at school for 6 hours and I see all of these threads and other posts that were made while I was either at school or asleep, so I post in them. I scan the other forums and then reply to whatever other posts are made.

It's not like I'm making horribly idiotic posts all the time like I used to (right?).

asymm 12-11-2006 04:37 PM

yeah, jesus, Mote. The little hate rants were effective for toning you down for a few days, but with your obsessive posting and your references to 'nu-grunge' - you can probably expect another outbreak.

_Mote_ 12-11-2006 04:44 PM

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to spread my posts around to other forums. Sorry for wasting your presious computer screen space.

asymm 12-11-2006 04:59 PM

Mote, Mote, Mote. My intentions were not to come off as harshly as I did, sorry for that. You have 420+ posts after three weeks of joining! Considering the pace of around here, that's quite a lot. Just self-edit a little more frequently.

asdf 12-11-2006 05:01 PM

I'm terrified how close I am to having 10,000 posts after 3 and a half year :(

I need a hobby. Like... an instrument or something.

Anxious 12-11-2006 05:02 PM

Don't you play bass?

asdf 12-11-2006 05:05 PM

Hah. Yes I do. But sometimes I just spend so much time on the MUSICIANforums I forget. :/

My dad just bought a sweet bass pedal for himself. I can't wait to try it out.
