\!!/

1.BLOODLINE
2.SOUTH OF HEAVEN
3.SPIRIT IN BLACK
4.WAR ENSEMBLE
5.ANGEL OF DEATH
6.RAINING BLOOD

If I ever here those songs in that order I might very well kill somebody.

Bazarov 01-05-2006 11:59 PM

Next time I see them, I'll be pissed if they don't play At Dawn They Sleep. When I saw them, they played nothing off of Hell Awaits.
I'm pretty sure once their new album is released, this thread will have quite a bit of activity for a while.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-06-2006 12:03 AM

I wouldn't hold your breath, Butcher.

They should open with Hell Awaits though.

Neiji 01-06-2006 01:25 AM

Is it just me or Read Between the Lies is a grossly under-rated song? So what was the first Slayer solo you learned on guitar? Mine was the 2nd solo to War Ensemble.

It hardly gets enough mention. It's my favorite song off of South of Heaven. King actually wrote really good lyrics and rythm for that song.

I'm currently working on the solos to The Antichrist. They're the only solos I've attempted to learn by Slayer as well.

pep 01-06-2006 02:44 PM

hey i saw a pic of kerry playing bagpipes on a live concert. in what song or why was he doing that?

Mein bass 01-06-2006 02:51 PM

A slayer thread!
\m/
One of my favorite bands.
You guys have good taste.

superflyjojo 01-06-2006 03:05 PM

I was wondering why Slayer never plays anything from Divine Intervention live? its a good album and i wouldn't mind hearing songs like sex, murder, art in there setlist.

Bazarov 01-06-2006 03:22 PM

No it's a photoshopped picture. Someone posted that bagpipes, then posted the original.

Yeah, it's a good album. I used to hate that album, but it has some good song like Dittohead or Serenity in Murder.

Dude, you reminded me. Thank you. I'm going to make my own Impaled Northern Moonforest.

NP: Slayer - Dittohead

Mein bass 01-06-2006 04:09 PM

I like dittohead.
It has a really cool bass line.
I plan on learning it now.
Thanks for getting me in the mood. :naughty:

Britton 01-06-2006 04:12 PM

So it's been a while sense I've been in here. I've been listening to Reighn in Blood non stop as of lately

BLS_Infernus 01-06-2006 09:29 PM

the new Slayer album is almost done...the way things are going it could be out at the time of the new Metallica record as well

supra_speed 01-06-2006 09:40 PM
the new Slayer album is almost done...the way things are going it could be out at the time of the new Metallica record as well
Wow. Thats just scary.

Carpe Diem81 01-07-2006 03:55 PM

if that happens I will just have to buy both :p

Bazarov 01-07-2006 04:12 PM
the new Slayer album is almost done...the way things are going it could be out at the time of the new Metallica record as well
It's due sometime in March. I doubt Metallica's new album will becoming out so soon in this year. But if so then I've got 3 new CD's I have to buy in March.

Carpe Diem81 01-07-2006 04:33 PM

Metallica's CD is done so I think it will be released about the same time or maybe a little bit early

Poofy 666 01-07-2006 06:54 PM
Metallica's CD is done so I think it will be released about the same time or maybe a little bit early
what is it called?

Carpe Diem81 01-07-2006 06:55 PM

I don't know...I just know that from word of Metallica the new record is done

Bazarov 01-07-2006 06:56 PM

According to Slayersaves. Slayer is getting ready for a 06 tour already. Fuck Yeah!

Apocalyptic Raids 01-07-2006 07:16 PM

They better come to Australia.

BLS_Infernus 01-08-2006 12:14 AM

Dave is back for the new album...can't wait for it. Dave has to be the luckest drummer in the fact that Slayer has let him back in so many times. That just proves his wacky style is a big back bone of Slayer just like Jeff Hanneman is.

Dave = greatest drummer on earth

Bazarov 01-08-2006 12:17 AM

Yes it is a good thing that Dave is back. I like him tons more than Bostaph.

Sph 01-08-2006 12:41 AM

Question for BLS_Infernus: What's so special about the S&Key Hanneman Sig?

BLS_Infernus 01-08-2006 12:43 AM
Question for BLS_Infernus: What's so special about the S&Key Hanneman Sig?
they made very little of those and they are rare as hell. they go for double the price of a normal ESP Hanneman sig on ebay and then it's even more special if it has a Kahler 2315 if it came stock

Sph 01-08-2006 12:53 AM

Why were the inlays banned?

BLS_Infernus 01-08-2006 01:07 AM

it brought up to much controversy because it reminded people of the Soviet Union

supra_speed 01-08-2006 03:04 AM
Yes it is a good thing that Dave is back. I like him tons more than Bostaph.
Yeaaah, much better!

BLS_Infernus 01-08-2006 03:08 AM

Dave's style is just insanely god like...I don't think I've ever heard a better drummer...weather or not they have better skill Dave's style is just the best out there

Bazarov 01-15-2006 04:14 PM

Attention Whores

http://www.slayersaves.com/news.htm

So, I found this worthy of a bump.

Kerry has given more info on the upcoming Slayer CD.

BLS_Infernus 01-15-2006 04:28 PM

sweet. So the new album is getting to the ending point. I can't wait to hear some new aggressive **** with Dave back in

pep 01-15-2006 06:20 PM

so its going to be a thrash music double whammy this year, slayer and metallica.

Bazarov 01-15-2006 06:34 PM

Yes, and hopefully these new albums will be better than their previous ones (St. Anger and God Hates Us All). Though, Kerry and Jeff said the new material is similar to the material on GHUA, how ever Dave is drumming again so maybe it will add some more kick ass-ery.

BLS_Infernus 01-15-2006 06:39 PM

lets not forget about Megadeth...rumor is they are back in the studio as well. Exodus as well (I'm guess) because they popped out 2 albums last year. I'm hoping 2006 will be a great year for metal. 2005 was average but it showed a great increase in the interest of metal.

Vinnie Paul said that he will be releasing the DamagePlan tracks that he a Dime worked on before he died

vashts80 01-15-2006 09:21 PM
Metallica's CD is done so I think it will be released about the same time or maybe a little bit early
Uhm...no. They just entered the studio a couple weeks ago.

BLS_Infernus 01-15-2006 09:53 PM

actually they entered the studio in at the end of November and let for Christmas and went back when there kids went back to school

Apocalyptic Raids 01-15-2006 09:59 PM

I'm not expecting anything great from this new Slayer record.

The only glimmer of hope is that Dave is back, and I think in some interview Kerry or Jeff mentioned that everyone was having input into this album. The fact that their setlists now seem to have more older stuff since Dave has been back is good. Hopefully it means Dave will put some good stuff into the songs.

But I'm still not expecting anything special.

lightningmetal666 01-18-2006 07:50 PM

/Bump thread

Check out this new slayer fansite. Not quite like slayersaves.com, but still pretty decent:

http://www.geocities.com/eternallyslayer/

BLS_Infernus 01-18-2006 08:09 PM

I've been to that one before...it's average.

yeah I'm not expecting much but it should be much better with Dave back in. I kind of half liked 'God Hates Us All' so it should be much better with Dave
