^You shouldnt overlook Fly By Night either though.

BludgeonySteve 09-10-2006 01:36 AM

Of course not. I just wouldn't put it up there with the golden age. Especially because it's cut off by Caress of Steel which is a good album but probably one of their weakest ones.

NicetoKnowyou 09-12-2006 01:24 PM

Theres some new info on the new album. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcoming_releases/rush_ready_songs_for_new_album.html

I hope that they tour...Ive never een them, and thats really the only reason why im excited for the new album. Album=Tour. Ihope:confused:

6stringed 09-13-2006 09:16 AM

They better have a tour, and I hope I can go.

BludgeonySteve 09-16-2006 01:50 PM

I'd do almost anything to see them. Even go to Toronto. Although they will probably come here.

White 09-22-2006 07:54 PM

Oh I soooo want to see Rush live, its been a dream of mine for a while now lol. BUt yah, I doubt it will ever happen.

TojesDolan 09-22-2006 08:36 PM

I'm rediscovering the wonders of 2112. I hadn't given the album a much big read, to be honest, but yesterday/last week I did and well, I think it's pretty good.

I like how it rolls around. "Passage to bangkok" is my current Rush favorite.

132WalrusesInMexico 09-22-2006 09:39 PM

2112 is the album that got me into progressive rock which is now my favorite genre. I love that album so much. I love Geddy's vocals on the Temples Of Syrinx, but I hate the way he sings it live.

TojesDolan 09-23-2006 03:12 AM

I prefer how he sings currently (and live) than most recording sessions, eh.

BludgeonySteve 09-23-2006 09:55 AM

Yeah. He's worked on his voice a lot and it's good now (it was always good but good good).

Dread_rocker 10-23-2006 04:43 PM

Aaaa not long now before Rush will bring out their new album! I'm guessing early next year followed by another amazing tour!

6stringed 10-23-2006 08:58 PM

They better come to my area.

132WalrusesInMexico 10-23-2006 09:33 PM

I'm hoping for a release early in 2007 followed by a summer tour.

Atica 10-23-2006 10:35 PM

I wish they could come tour near my country.

BludgeonySteve 10-23-2006 11:54 PM

The tour would probably be better than the album but i'm looking forward to both.

6stringed 10-24-2006 06:02 PM

yeah I agree ha

EinzingerIsGod 10-24-2006 08:42 PM

I'm on a Rush binge tonight. I'm going to try to listen to as many of the 17 albums I have of them before I pass out.

132WalrusesInMexico 10-24-2006 09:01 PM

I've tried doing that before. I had to leave the house in a car without a CD player, so my plan failed.:( I got all the way to Hold Your Fire though.
The tour would probably be better than the album but i'm looking forward to both.
Yeah, that's probably what will happen. The subject for the lyrics that Neil has been talking about seem kind of dry, but whatever. I can't wait for them to tour again.

EinzingerIsGod 10-24-2006 11:31 PM

Alright so I got through Permanent Waves, A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, Signals, Fly By Night, Moving Pictures, and 2112. Not nearly what I wanted, but 7 isn't bad.

BludgeonySteve 10-25-2006 08:08 PM

Do Roll the Bones or i'll eat your brains.

Huber 10-25-2006 08:24 PM

I've been meaning to buy R30 for the longest time. Any time I'm near a DVD section and I see it I cringe because it hurts to throw money at it like that.

I WANT IT SO BAAAAD!

Do you guys think it's better than Rush In Rio?

Kenny_Fever 10-25-2006 09:21 PM

There's lots of features and stuff on R30, old old videos of the band, as well as a few interviews and stuff.

Many have said that the sound quality on R30 is better than that of Rio, and I don't disagree. Also, it comes with extra stuff, including like a sticker/iron-on patch or whatever the hell it is, two autographed guitar picks and a book, as well as the concert CD's. I personally think it's a great value.

I like R30 more than Rush In Rio. The quality is a lot better (I think someone said this already), but Rush In Rio has a better set list.

EinzingerIsGod 10-26-2006 04:49 PM

R30 is better than Rush in Rio imo. Better set list, and the special edition gives you a live cd along with some extras.

I really want to watch Rush ReplayX3. My friend has it and I've been meaning to borrow it.

Dread_rocker 10-30-2006 05:38 PM

Is it just me or does anyone else like Neil Peart's hair on the grace under pressure dvd? I really love it hehe and is tempted to grow a tail just like it!

132WalrusesInMexico 10-30-2006 08:35 PM

Dude, Neil Peart's rat tail is the sweetest thing ever.

BludgeonySteve 11-26-2006 01:20 AM

Rush are just hawt period.

White 12-04-2006 05:02 PM

Hey folks, I just had a major crissis and kinda lost a lot of music lol, (including all my Rush) so if anyone could be so kind as to add me to aim and send me some cds, I would be for ever greatful. White2112 is the aim name, thanks

BludgeonySteve 12-18-2006 10:01 PM

Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuush. I just got replayx3 and am enjoying some of their older dvds :). Rush are sure great live.

Brokensticks 12-18-2006 10:44 PM
