I've been pretty big on Corrupted last week. \m/

I've been listening to A LOT of Doom today, I went to school listening to Candlemass, Saint Vitus and Cathedral. I'm listening to The Gates of Slumber at the moment ([I]Suffer no Guilt[/I]) what an amazing album, I'm liking ti more than The Awakening...:eek:

I've been listening to loads of Saint Vitus and Reverend Bizarre recently. Can't wait to see them at the end of the month!

I would kill to see both of them live, bastard :mad:

ive only got a few..collections, haha. i dont think it gets much better than corrupted.

Winter's great, so's Thergothon and Skepticism.

But Saint Vitus and Black Sabbath are no doom metal slouches.

Saint Vitus were on SST. Good band.

I'm getting into this slowly. Electric Wizard are my favorite so far.

Where would be a good starting point for Doom?

Candlemass or Cathedral.

Well I heard a little Candlemass and I thought the vocals were kind of cheesy.

I have yet to hear something as scary/creepy as Corrupted, aside from the obvious Sunn o))) etc...

Check out the band Abandon though. [I]In Reality We Suffer [/I]is damn good sludge/funeral doom.
