I dunno about everyone else, but me and my family are going to texas tomorrow. No school for a week is gonna be kickass. But living in a hotel isnt.

Up here, even when it's a catergory four or five, we just go under the house, and hole up with mattresses against the door, etc. And with enough warning, we can pack all our valuables etc, in the other room under my house.

Dont got a basement, and I only live 10 miles most away from the beach so we would get a lot of crap. Besides, its gonna be gay without power.

Yeah, losing power sucks. And cause our electricity company is a government subsidary, they are really bad at setting up power grids and restoring power. It's really annoying when they get the shops and businesses up and running almost immeadiately, but can't seem to fix the suburbs until a week has gone by.

And did you mean you were 10 miles from the beach? Yeah it sucks, cos I'm 6 kms from the coast, but the rest of town is spread out between me and the beach. So the cyclone will destroy them before it ever comes close to me. :thumb:

Yeah, but we call them cyclones. We get about 7 forming a year, during the summer (your winter), but only 3 or so cross the coastline.

Oh, I just learned more than I do in a weeks worth of school.

Speaking of which, no school for a week + more. This is gonna be great, but not as great as when we got hit by Isabel in VA.
