Jev 05-19-2010 07:46 PM
blogsearching = the best way to find stuff btw
How is that easier than typing something into a search field?

illmitch 05-19-2010 09:09 PM

because googles search engine is way better than soulseeks

666DiMe666 05-19-2010 09:10 PM

I guess if you didn't know what you were looking for. I usually go into it knowing what I'm going to get. Type in an album name, and then I have it.

P13 05-19-2010 09:12 PM

I want to get more blogs to look at, but then I still can't download any more music each month.

illmitch 05-19-2010 09:21 PM

lol thats not the case at all. if you type in "band name album name megaupload" or mediafire or blogspot, you'll have a link within seconds whereas it'll take you a lot longer to find something with a decent speed, bitrate, etc from soulseek. there have been times where i'll put an artist name into soulseek and get little to no responses for 15 minutes and get a response within 5 seconds with blogsearch

witchxrapist 05-19-2010 09:23 PM

So me and some friends went over some material the one dude is writing, and it basically sounds like a weirder version of our old band. I'm kinda stoked.

It's more mature and less flashy.

P13 05-19-2010 09:24 PM

what was your older stuff again?

illmitch 05-19-2010 09:26 PM

it was less mature and more flashy

2muchket! 05-19-2010 09:26 PM

Never used soulseek, but I'm extremely content with blogsearching.

I've never been unable to find an album I'm after, even the more obscure dubstep albums after about 5 or so minutes of looking I've been able to find.

the more mainstream an album is, the more likely it won't be up on a blog, I find.

dude im loving that vaski. got anything like him or better?

666DiMe666 05-19-2010 09:29 PM

I dunno. Works for me. I'm not super underground, leet enough I suppose.

witchxrapist 05-19-2010 09:29 PM
the more mainstream an album is, the more likely it won't be up on a blog, I find.
It's a narrow medium. Blogs are a lot of the popular underground if you get me.

Jev 05-19-2010 09:29 PM

I find Captain Crawl just fine for blog searching.

666DiMe666 05-19-2010 09:29 PM

As a point of reference, I found everything on your blog in five seconds on soulseek.

witchxrapist 05-19-2010 09:30 PM

Captain Crawl gets less results than just searching it in google chrome.

witchxrapist 05-19-2010 09:30 PM
As a point of reference, I found everything on your blog in five seconds on soulseek.
Yeah, reread the corrected post lol. I mixed up blog and slsk.

illmitch 05-19-2010 09:30 PM
