Apocalyptic Raids 10-08-2006 11:27 AM
It's all i've heard.
It's far better than any of re-united Thrash band. You should check out Victims of Deception, since it's on their website anyway.
NP: Sauron - Thrash Assault. This is some of the best thrash ever
I fail to see how early Kreator worship can be the best Thrash ever. It's enjoyable, but it's unoriginal as fuck.

I heard a couple of tracks of their new EP, and it sounds pretty good.

AA-12 10-08-2006 11:30 AM

I'll check it out.

Haha, it is total Kreator worship, but still great. Hell, even the cover art on the newest release looks like PTK

Apocalyptic Raids 10-08-2006 11:35 AM

I still have got any of their demos either. RCA emailed one of the members but they never got around to it. That being said I haven't looked as hard as I could.

Some lyrics from "Poser Holocaust" from their new EP:
It's time for an up close meeting with the concrete
My boot makes your skull crack against the pavement
Stupid moshfag and your ****ing Pantera tattoo
As your cranium bleeds you cry out for your mother
Unleash the fury of the ancient gods
To relieve me of my pity for your worthless soul
Amongst your ranks lie the cowards and honorless
I will put an end to it- by Power!

No slaughter of the innocent this night
Kill every poser in sight
The gutters run red with worthless blood
As we rid the world of human scum

We don't care how many lives are lost
Tonight on this glorious Poser Holocaust
We'll cut through their hides with the inverted cross
It's the ****ing Poser Holocaust

Spike covered fists and baseball bats descend upon the streets
Violence is in our hearts and on our minds
No money or job, my life is strangely fulfilled
Feasting on posers gives me all I need
We build up a throne with the bones of the weak
You can't stop us, what the **** are you going to do?
Drenched in mother****ing blood
Sauron takes control
Kill
Wretched spawn, you will die
On your ****ing knees
Bow down to our will
Torture
You don't stand a ****ing chance

Alcoholic Retribution
Drunken minds in a poser killing frenzy
Torture racks and doomsday devices
We've come equipped for slaughter in the night
Dirty old Denim
Knife in my hand provides intense laceration
I'm listening to Possesion. They finally got a good production!

Sorry Jon, but you are wrong!

Heathen are pretty good, bit overated I reckon.

 Those song lyrics remind me of Sadus - DTP
Sorry Jon, but you are wrong!
No Charlie, you are wrong just as you are wrong about Obituary!

AA-12 10-08-2006 10:54 PM

Uh oh. What's the deal with Obituary?

pate 10-08-2006 11:05 PM

Disagreement on which of the first two albums is the best.

The correct answer is Cause of Death

AA-12 10-08-2006 11:07 PM

You are correct.

FatalEnergy 10-09-2006 01:07 AM

That kind of like how I always say Beyond the Gates > Seven Churches although no one agrees.

NP: Exorcist - Queen of the Dead

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 01:08 AM

Blasphemer!

but then again, you aren't much of a Death Metal fan, and Beyond The Gates is more Thrash then Death, where Seven Churches is the other way around.

ThrashMaster27 10-09-2006 01:47 AM

Afternoon chaps.

Not had much time for the poor old thrash thread recently. Haha, I did have a chuckle the other day. I bought a S.O.D. DVD for cheap. The best thing about the whole DVD is seeing Billy Milano in a Skeleton mask, smoking a cigar, falling into the crowd, hitting a fan on the head with a microphone and then getting back on stage.

What a fat twat

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 02:05 AM

Evening old bean

 @ Billy Milano

FatalEnergy 10-09-2006 02:13 AM

Morbid is pretty cool thrash with awesome vocals. Dead's first band. Pretty cool stuff.

Man, I think a friend of mine died. I'm creeped out.

NP: Morbid - From the Dark

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 02:37 AM

I've always considered Morbid Death Metal. Thrashy, but still DM.
No Charlie, you are wrong just as you are wrong about Obituary!
Sorry Jon, but Slowly We Rot ****s all over Cause of Death. FACT!

Also anyone that says Beyond the Gates is better than Seven Churches is just wrong as well :p

LIES

pate 10-09-2006 08:42 AM

Damn lies.

metal-militia 10-09-2006 10:06 AM

You 'avin a laugh? Slowly we Rot is so much better than Cause of Death

Still haven't decided if i'm going to see Sabbat support Cradle of Filth. I'm really suprised they are supporting them, seems a bit of a wierd choice.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 10:09 AM

I would go, it's probably a once in a lifetime chance. At least they're playing first, so you can leave before Cradle go on :D

metal-militia 10-09-2006 10:11 AM

Ha yeah could do that. Don't know if it's worth travelling all the way to see them play for like 45 minutes though. I'd love to see them go on tour and have someone else decent supporting them, rather than playing second fiddle to CoF. Any ideas why they are supporting them?

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 10:13 AM

Andy Sneap mixed the new Cradle album, and apparently Cradle are Sabbat fans and they offered the slot to them. I think that's the story.

metal-militia 10-09-2006 10:15 AM

Wow, CoF know Sabbat exist?

Jon I think we've taken over the thrash thread and now the doom one
I never knew you were a fan of doom?

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 10:19 AM

Doom has been more of a recent thing for me, but yeah, it rules.

metal-militia 10-09-2006 10:21 AM

Good lad!
I should be seeing Reverend Bizarre at the end of the month :chug: Can't wait!

Apocalyptic Raids 10-09-2006 10:24 AM

Lucky. It's a shame they're breaking up after the next album, they're one of my favourites.

anyway I'm off to bed, later. Good to see you back btw

metal-militia 10-09-2006 10:36 AM

I know it's bad news, thats why i'm making sure I see them.

Aww how sweet Jon, did you miss me? This place was nothing without me :p

FatalEnergy 10-09-2006 05:36 PM

You wish.

NP: Morbid - Winds of Funeral
Sorry Jon, but Slowly We Rot ****s all over Cause of Death.
I back this claim up 110%.
I back this claim up 110%.
