Huh? Are you insane?

He went down in the middle of the season and the Broncos went like, 1-4. Then he came back, they righted themselves, and they went to the playoffs.

College basketball > pro basketball > baseball > pro football > college football > hockey
I am insane, you needed clarification? :p

Maybe I'm just remembering wrong :-\

Hockey is the only sport I can watch for a whole game that keeps my focus the whole time.

Dried Muffin Remnants 07-10-2005 11:07 PM

I could understand hockey being enjoyable back in day - when teams didn't clog up the middle of the ice. Fvcking Bobby Orr would have been reason enough to watch. But now - it's too slow and boring for me. Baseball also lost it's magic after the Sox won.

College basketball is my favorite because the fans are always enthusiastic and right on the players... Also teams play every game like its their last.

NHL<other leagues, but it's still my favorite hands down. Watch some college games.

Dried Muffin Remnants 07-10-2005 11:15 PM

I've seen BC vs BU games. I despise BC...for various reasons.

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-10-2005 11:19 PM
Bobo, is it Eugene, or do you live near Eugene?
No, I have actually never been to Eugene.

I live out by Estacada, redneck central for the Cascade region.
Hockey>all.
Hell yeah.

Motocross is another one of my favorite sports even though I have not watched it in forever.

NP - Dimmu Borgir - Under Korpens Vinger

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 11:31 PM

Snowboarding is fun to watch. Not the X games, but the lesser-known videos made by guys just out there to have fun, not trying to impress their sponsor. Funnest thing to watch.

Jom- Drew hasn't posted for like a month. I swear, what a girlfriend can do to some mxers. :(

Permanent Solution 07-10-2005 11:40 PM
Weird story associated with Drew's GF and me.

So Ray has a gf named Amy.. well, so does Drew. But Drew is the name of my bf. Isn't that weird? Yeah, I think it is.
Maybe all you guys' parents just have something in common. A lack of creativity.

jpj 07-10-2005 11:43 PM
Good one, Vince. You have such an original name, too.
Vince isn't super common, nor is it extremely obscure and retarded like...um...Moonunit. My brother's name is Vince.

Vicente Andre...not common in America at least. :)

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 11:46 PM

I want to name my kid Dweezil, just because Frank Zappa is such a mastermind at life and music.

Oh, and Madey, don't you remember when I thought you called the JoZ to see if he was at that cyber coffee shop?

Actually, my stepdad says that during the Orr days, you couldn't touch the Bruins...he said that just about all the skating rinks that are around Boston are because of Orr and the 70's Bruins.

Vince: STFU :(

Vicente? Shouldn't you be Vic then? :shifty:

My name is only Jake. Not Jacob. My parents are on drugs. Maybe it's because my dad's name is Sidney, and that sounds far too much like a girl's name.

In English my name is Vincent Andrew, so thus Vince, in an English speaking country. In Spanish speaking countries, Vicente.

It's like confronting a gf about pictures they have on a pr0n site. They turn it around and ask why you were there....clever girls heh.

Well, the lose-lose thing I was talking about is that if I sent her pic out to guy MXers, one of two things happens:
1) They say "OMG dood she's hot!" and I get angry and protective, yet powerless if they choose to do unspeakable things with it
2) They say "Eh, she's not that good looking" which obviously offends me

Ray- It was a joke, goddammit! Oh, and that conversation that made you think I was a 'creepy' guy-I read it, and it WAS Madey who started it. She was asking me it, so I decided to keep the conversation going, and I returned the question. :D

My boss is an idiot. He had us all hustling so fast tonight, we finished 4 hours early and had to punchout and go home.

Illmatic 07-11-2005 12:29 AM

What's his problem, anyhow?

Peace, Jake

Steerpike 07-11-2005 12:31 AM

No idea. I'm not going to bother asking because even if my job sucks, it's the only one available to me.

Illmatic 07-11-2005 12:32 AM

I don't get it...does he just not want to pay you guys all that much? Because I do believe that's illegal.

If not severely unethical.

Steerpike 07-11-2005 12:33 AM

Again, I don't know. All I know is that he's an idiot. The first chance I get for something better next summer, I'm taking it.

I HATE SPYWARE ARGH!

Words nor extremely large font cannot express my passionate hate for spyware right now...

I just spent two hours to get access to be able to change my background from this :

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v481/BoboTheRagingHobo/spyware.jpg

I went to a forum I go to once in awhile, and obviously it got hacked and it downloaded all this crap onto my computer...

Now I must back up 50 gigs of music and more gigs of various other stuff. But first I must get a DVD burner so I can make backing things up alot easier with high amount of stuff. Then I must reformat my computer and reinstall every thing again! hurrah!

But good things to it, I will be getting my new 200 gig HD and gig of ram sooner heh, but I will have to waste a week end away at backing up stuff/reformating/reinstalling every thing.

Not even smilies can express how I feel! ARGH.

Six Foot Revolver 07-11-2005 02:30 AM

I remember when me and Vince ended up getting that MSN virus a while back. It took us hours to get rid of it :upset:. That sounds even worst though :-/

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-11-2005 02:33 AM

Yeah, it is.

These spyware things will not go away unless you do a low level format on your hard drive.

Which really sucks.

NP - Quo Vadis - Silence Calls the Storm

Arucard 07-11-2005 02:45 AM

Tell you what sucks more. Ok, so i have a morning at school to get me into 6th form, and my Dad calls me at 8. Im obviously like '****!,' gotta get ready fast. I have a blast of a shower, cleaen my teeth etc and get downstairs at about 8:25. My school takes me about 30 minutes to walk to, and i can't be late today as i will :

A : Look really dumb.
B : Teachers will get angry.
C : They will think i don't care about later education.

So, my Nan says 'Ill give you a lift to school Joe.' Thats cool, i relax abit, but no. My Dad (this is exactly what he said) 'No, you won't give him a lift to school, i want him to learn his lesson.' That is such a sadist thing to do! Stopping me from going to school! So i run out the door and down the road calling him a dick, then make my way to school. I appear about 20 minutes late, and they refused to let me in!

The thing that makes it worse is that im always doing favours for my Dad (babysitting when i wanna go out so he can, looking after my brothers for a weekend, taking my little brother to the cinema and stuff), and this is how he repays me. Im going to kill him, i swear.

/Rant end.

Illmatic 07-11-2005 02:48 AM

What's 6th form?

Arucard 07-11-2005 03:04 AM

Mmm.. Our version of College maybe? I am out of compuslry education, so its my first years of going to school out of choice.
Mmm.. Our version of College maybe? I am out of compuslry education, so its my first years of going to school out of choice.
College at age 16? what?

I am confused about your school system from the way you are explaining it.

Arucard 07-11-2005 03:13 AM

Ok. Sorry, i'll explain better.

Up until the age of 16 (or year 11, when you take your compulsry exams, your GCSE's), you need to go to school. After that, you can take your A Levels if you want, or go get a job/do nothing. After that, you can go to Uni.

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-11-2005 03:17 AM

Ah, I see.

I see it is similar to the idea here. When you hit age 16 or hit junior year first (grade 11), you can then legally drop out of school and do what ever with your life, or continue on with high school. Before those times, which ever comes first, you have to stay in school.

that seems a good explanation anyway, I am currently in 6th form, you do 3 or four subjects, for example, I do English literature, French, Drama and Law.

at the end of the first year exams, A/S level, half of the full A level, you can drop one subject for next year.

Stoic 07-11-2005 03:33 AM

morning, 12:33, surprisingly it's raining at the moment.

here you can go to Uni directly after highschool but our educational system sucks in general.
So uhh, how about where is everyone from? Also, say one thing you like about your area, and one thing you dislike. :D

Mabton, Washington: I like it because of my seclusion. It's nice to be out here in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to look at but endless hills of sage brush. The major thing I dislike about it is the fact that it is so small and boring. Nothing good every comes through here as far as musical acts, and there really isn't much else to explore than the C&D Mart that sells bongs. :p
I am from a town in New Jersey called Toms River

What is nice about it: we have everything, a mall, a movie theater, 5 minutes from the beach, a state park, as well as some of the best pizza places ever due to them being run by former brooklyn resident italians.

What blows about it: being 5 mintues from the beach means traffic during the summer is utter insanity, and the tourists we get are a bit less than savory.

and she wrote the other car off too, totally her fault
