Night, MX.
I'm going to go practice(maybe), read a few pages of the bible, watch Bad Girls, masturbate, shower, suffer from fits of anxiety over friday, and hit the sack.

Janeway 01-12-2006 05:46 PM

Pretty much.
I'm thinking about getting up at like 5:30, having a can of beer, and then mixing vodka and coffee into a travel mug and taking it on the bus with me.
If I have to participate in gym, I atleast want to be a little tipsy. It might increase the chances of me getting injured and getting out on medical.

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:00 PM

I have now officially been transfered from drummer to singer now.

Everyone says I sing and write better lyrics than I drum anyways, and I'd say I have more of a passion for it also.

Not that I'm giving up drumming, I still love it, but right now it's having to take a back seat to my writing/journalism career and my singing practice. Both a sad and joyous day. :amaze:

LoneStarDrummer 01-12-2006 06:15 PM

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:16 PM

*Feels neglected because everyone is ignoring his announcement*

Blank 01-12-2006 06:18 PM

Yo phil were you guys psychobilly?

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:22 PM

No. Were just ****.

They're even worse after i left. With their death metal drummer, cheeserock guitarist and bassist who's never touched a bass before

Blank 01-12-2006 06:25 PM

You're singer was a funny looking dude.
What kind of band are you in now d00d?

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:27 PM

Punk rock band :)
Also playing bass in a psychobilly style band and drums in a cheesey pop-punk band as side things :)

A_Guy 01-12-2006 06:28 PM

You know, these forums are so great. Whenever im pissed of and lazy, I just go online read some threads, and I get the urge to play. So thanks to all for keeping me thin.

Blank 01-12-2006 06:29 PM

Isn't it weird man?
I love playing drums, but i'd also rather play bass in a psychobilly band.

Right now im playing drums in a hxc punk band and me and a guitarist are talking about starting a band....with me on bass so ha!

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:31 PM

hxc ey? Influences? Im gonna be a knob and rag on you if i dont like em :p

To be honest i just like being able to play bass in an odd way. Play a lot of slap on me 6-stringer

Blank 01-12-2006 06:33 PM

Are MAIN influences are the misfits, black flag and bad brains.

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:34 PM

Alright i'll let you off.

I love my silly haircut :D

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:37 PM
Are MAIN influences are the misfits, black flag and bad brains.
I think Dead Kennedy's should be in there.

Every band, regardless of the style, needs a Dead Kennedy's influence:thumb:

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:42 PM

Piss off. My bands influences: Minor threat, black flag, stiff little fingers, the germs, the devotchkas, the casualties, marked for death, choking victim. Etc.

Blank 01-12-2006 06:43 PM

Oh god.
Bad brains my man :smash:

Misfits :smoke:

Blank 01-12-2006 06:44 PM

Dead kennedys that's so predictible.

Nice influences Phil :thumb:

Of course it's predictable. Having a Dead Kennedy's influence in punk is the equivalent of having a Yes influence in prog rock.

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:46 PM

What can i say. Im a cliche punk. To a certain extent anyway. Stupid hair cut and all.

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:48 PM
What can i say. Im a cliche punk. To a certain extent anyway. Stupid hair cut and all.
Ahh, that's cool. I'm the cliche metalhead, long hair, long goatee. pierced ears, and lots of necklaces and bracelets.

Cheers to cliche styles :chug:

Old school hair:

Had to cut it short after i messed up a bleach job and it got really damaged and was fallin out.

Ironic that on one wall i have a poster of Dr. King and on the other i have a giant union jack rearranged into a swastika isnt it. For the record i am not a nazi, nor do i beleive in any of their beleifs

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:52 PM

Pretty sweet there dude.

Those first two pics reminded me of the sing for Diecast, that's probably just the facial hair though.

Blank 01-12-2006 06:53 PM

Jesus.
My hair is semi long and locked up into dreads.

*Phils pic was my influence...sad aint it :upset:*

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:53 PM

And actually you probably do believe in some of their stuff without realizing it.

Besides the whole "ethnic cleansing" idea, the Nazi's actually had set up quite a well-working system and form of government. Too bad about that outright hatred thing.

Drum Phil 01-12-2006 06:53 PM

I love my face hair. It makes me look older than i am. Bonus. I also love putting dumbass things in my hair to keep it up. E.g. PVA glue (the white glue you get in school) and in the last pic i used nothing but soap (from a bar of it) to hold it up.

To be honest ive never felt the need to look into nazism.

At heart i have a nihilistic viewpoint. I do beleive in anarchy but only under special circumstances which wont happen

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:56 PM

Jesus. I can't imagine spending more than 15 seconds on my hair. Brush down until all knots are gone, then forget about it.

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 06:57 PM

Hmmm....does your Nihilism transfer over to your religious/philosophical views, or is it just form of government that you think that way?

Blank 01-12-2006 06:57 PM

Phil you ruined my head.I saw that pic of you with dreads and asked my mom how I could get them.
Now I have wax and all that **** so I can have my white guy down to my brow dreads

DuckinFutch 01-12-2006 06:59 PM

I just dry it...

Biotches
Hmmm....does your Nihilism transfer over to your religious/philosophical views, or is it just form of government that you think that way?
As a rule im VERY cynical about that sort of stuff. I never beleived in a religion despite a catholic upbringing and a good education. I always beleived that religion was just something some people needed to beleive in. They have their religion whereas i have my desire to make a change. Everyone needs something to beleive in.

Just incase i havent mentioned it, my trip to africa is going ahead with my mate. We're going over to look after kids with HIV/Aids and in my case some manual labour on the side.

I am of the mind that sending money to charitys does nothing but make you feel better of yourself. I'd much rather do some work myself and see the gratification myself. That way it feels much better.

EDIT: to keep ryan happy:

osiecki 01-12-2006 07:04 PM

I think I'm going to start straightening my hair in hopes of looking more emo.

I also like the feeling of hair in my face.

BetweenTheEchoes 01-12-2006 07:05 PM

Very cool man. And yeah I agree with your ideas about religion, except I think only the weak-minded really feel the need to have some ordered system and big man in a white robe governing their life.

I went to Missisippi myself to rebuild houses in October. Man, it was some HARD *** work. But it's good you're helping people.

Blank 01-12-2006 07:06 PM

To tell the truth watching after kids with HIV/AIDS would make me very, very depressed.
Good luck with that Phil.

On the religion matter,I believe that were born,we live are lives, then we die,and when we're dead that's the end of it.
That's why we gotta live life to the fullest.
