Yeah if you have them that'd be cool.

poe is ****ing morbid yo

Verse 1
Bottomless vales and boundless floods, And chasms, and caves, and Titan woods, With forms that no man can discover For the tears that drip all over; Mountains toppling evermore Into seas without a shore; Seas that restlessly aspire, Surging, unto skies of fire; Verse 2 Lakes that endlessly outspread Their lone waters- lone and dead,- By the mountains- near the river By the grey woods, murmuring ever,- There the traveller meets aghast Hidden Memories of the Past- Shrouded forms that start and sigh As they pass the wanderer by- I don't remember the chorus, I wrote the lyrics to it and they must have gotten deleted when I reset my C:\ Drive. |
Oh, those are pretty nice. I liked them.
NP: Summoning - The Rotting Horse on the Deadly Ground I think this is my favorite Summoning song as of now. The chorus is great. |
Yeah, Poe wrote some really cool poems.
The chorus to that song is definitely awesome, I think the vocals are pretty much perfect. |
Yeah, great song.
Nagelfar.
I love this band. Seelenland is such an amazing song. |
I'm confused as to how Dol Guldur is Summoning's best-selling album. Out of everything they have released I personally believe it is the most boring (besides Khazad Dum - that song is fantastic).
|
Yeah Nagelfar were really cool, I think a few of the members are in Graupel now.

I think people really like the medieval sound of Dol Guldur, which non of the other albums really have. Khazad Dum and Unto a Long Glory... are definitely my favorites off that one. |
favorite song on dol doldur is nightshade forests
Yeah Nagelfar were really cool, I think a few of the members are in Graupel now.
Yeah, I just saw that. One of them formed Ruins of Beverast, but I haven't listened to the album I have yet. Read an interview with him, and he seems like a really smart, cool guy. |
I have one Ruins of Beverast album, it's pretty weird and out there for a black metal CD. Kinda reminds of Blut Aus Nord or some of the better DSO songs.
|
for a band that has based their 'career' around boredom, it is no surprise their fans like their most boring stuff most

LOL, i think they would be alot better if they got a full on orchestra and seriously sat down and wrote something good. |
I understand how a person could dislike Summoning, but it's retarded to say their music isn't composed well for what it is.

phhhhhh, it is badly composed. it's just loads of atmospheric orchestral midi with black metal vocals and crappy sounding guitars with really boring drum parts. one of the most overrated bands in the genre that i am almost ashamed that i own 2 albums of (from my listening time when anything epic was awesome). i mean i even prefer dimmu to them. |
I don't like the way they do spoken samples most of the time, especially in Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame.
It makes it sound...idk...re-mixy?
phhhhhh, it is badly composed. it's just loads of atmospheric orchestral midi with black metal vocals and crappy sounding guitars with really boring drum parts. one of the most overrated bands in the genre that i am almost ashamed that i own 2 albums of (from my listening time when anything epic was awesome).
wt**** off nonelite |

i don't care if i'm elite, its music. good god. if it sounds good to me than i dig it and i label stuff badly composed if it has good recording quality but isn't interesting.

What parts are you referring to? I don't recall them using a lot of spoken samples, besides the one on Ashen Cold, which I happen to really like.
how is stronghold btw, i have heard that is sort of different than their other stuff from a few people?
It has mediocre production, which is its major flaw in my opinion. But if you don't like one Summoning albums (besides Lugburz or early demos) you probably won't like any others. |
You wouldnt like Stronghold if you didn't like their other stuff. It's more riffy but not much different otherwise.
and the elite thing is tongue in cheek here in case you havent picked up on that
What parts are you referring to? ohhh, ok at first i thought you were serious and i was kind of surprised that there were bm elitists here. those dudes are such pricks.

South Away is my favorite off Let Mortal Heroes... but then again, Ashen Cold, Runes of Power, Farewell, and the Mountain King's Return are all amazing as well.
|
there are
oh, well, at least they know how i feel :naughty: |
I understand how a person could dislike Summoning, but it's retarded to say their music isn't composed well for what it is.
Yeah, I can get not liking the music, but it's definitely not badly composed. |
Saying Summoning is well composed is like saying the music in World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings video games is well composed.
|
Ok so I really have no idea if I'm going to get flamed for liking this band, but I just recently got into Anaal Nathrakh. Are there any bands that do their style better that I should look into? Cause I think they're pretty great...
Same applies for Arckanum. |
Not in that style but Grant you should really check out Thesyre, awesome thrash/black metal.
|
Anaal Nathrakh are unique in their own right but I don't like them at all

except for the fact that it is cael, like, really bad attempt at making a point |
I don't need to make a point, I am correct.
