NOFX is a bunch of guys in their 40's who still dye their hair, wear shorts, and sing about farts.
you have great taste, but this time i must say you've gone too far.
Punk in Drublic is a pop-punk classic.

The Decline is a 18 minute song that is great.

I mean sure, most of their discography is the same three chord pop songs about hating hippies, but when they are on they are a very catchy talented band. It's just like listening to someone like Coldplay, or Blink 182. They are pretty bad for the most part, but when they are doing everything they can do right they are really good.

talk show host 05-18-2006 06:04 AM

I agree, The Decline is awesome.

I agree with this. I've always like their early stuff, such as Ribbed and White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean but almost everything after '96 was awful.

That's not one of my favorite Miles Electric recordings. It's so crazy.

Glitterati 05-18-2006 04:54 PM
That's not one of my favorite Miles Electric recordings. It's so crazy.
I haven't heard much of his gone electric stuff. I like the beat, it kind of seems to ground pretty much everything else here for me, even though the grooves get spastic, too. But otherwise, yeah, pretty crazy.

ATM 05-18-2006 05:07 PM
That's such an amazing album.
Probably my favourite modern hip-hop act. I've also been digging The Queen Is Dead.
Does it sound very different from 1958?

The Decline is a great song, I agree with pixies.
The Telepathic Butterflies - Introducing the Telepathic Butterflies
That's a really fun album. I think they're one of the better Kinks inspired bands I've heard.

Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Live at the Wetlands
The Velvet Underground - Loaded

I'm doing a research paper on the Velvets and I'm finding a lot of little, unique touches in their music that I hadn't noticed as much before.

Some of it reminds me of the Beatles.

The Cramps - Songs The Lord Taught Us

Possibly the founders of the psychobilly genre. Anyone who likes rockabilly should check this out.

Death From Above 1979 - "Romantic Rights (The Phones Lovers Remix)"
T.I. - "What You Know"

Not nearly as gangster as yours.

Zmev 05-18-2006 09:17 PM

After extensive studies I have concluded rap is the music to drive to, not rock.

YDload 05-18-2006 09:25 PM

Rock is highway music but rap is for when you're goin slow or stuck in traffic.

Jacaranda 05-18-2006 09:27 PM

Been listening to Radiohead - The Bends and yet again concluded its my favorite and only album of Radiohead that I really listen to.

I always listen to pop when I drive.

Zmev 05-18-2006 09:50 PM

Zmev, DMD, BC = A/I Gangstas

Jacaranda = Princess
Does it sound very different from 1958?
I'm not very familiar with that album. It sounds like really wacky experimental hip-hop.
Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl

For the most part, this album sucks. However, there are a few tracks that are absolutely great ("Dizzy", "Slide", "Broadway" and "Black Balloon").
Exactly.

Death Cab For Cutie
The Smiths
Trophy Scars
The Cure
