dont you bring youre new rock in here. cant you read the thread title? canned heat is good but i cant seem to get into them. which is odd since i love blues-rock. has anyone heard of a band called frijid pink? they were an old detroit band and the only song i can find or have heard from them is a cover of house of the rising sun. it rocked. they kept the majority of the song the same but added in some killer guitar. check it out if you can find them.
I've heard of Frigid Pink, but I don't remember where. I live neard Detroit, so maybe in the newspaper or something.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-20-2005 05:10 PM

In my Health class, one of the questions on the final was "Why is acid so incorperated with music from the late 60's?"

I think I was the only kid who gave an in depth answer on that.

Also I just got After the Gold Rush by Neil Young.

One of my new favorite albums ever.

Edit - They didn't say acid though. They said the really long term that LSD stands for.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-20-2005 05:38 PM

What does LSD stand for?

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 05:44 PM

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide

So, yes it does have the word "ACID" in it.

Illmatic 01-20-2005 05:45 PM

lysergic acid diethylamide-25, if I had to venture a guess.

Illmatic 01-20-2005 05:46 PM

Beaten to the punch. Damn me and my need to bold things.

Illmatic 01-20-2005 05:46 PM
What don't you like about them?
Jim Spoon 01-20-2005 05:55 PM

LSD is for me dedededede

Woodstock 01-20-2005 06:08 PM

Whoa, lets break up the LSD party.

I'm starting to give up hope for my local classic rock radio station. Today I heard: Rainbow In the Dark, Run Like Hell(overplayed where I live), Blinded By The Light, and some Linkin Park song. Wow.

magicbus 01-20-2005 06:12 PM

My classic rock station doesn't venture into new rock at all.

Woodstock 01-20-2005 06:13 PM

The songs I listed are some of the worst songs ever! I hate them. I'd rather hear nails on a chalkboard.

clown_phobia 01-20-2005 06:14 PM

Adelaide, South Australia is too small to have a classic rock station... :(

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 06:16 PM

Linkin Park???

I think's they be trippin.

Then again, I think I heard Green Day on mine...

Run Like Hell is COMPLETELY OVERPLAYED.

They have a thing called "Two for Tuesday" and everytime I hear Pink Floyd it's "Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2" and "Run Like Hell" for the two.

Woodstock 01-20-2005 06:18 PM

Yea, we have a Two for Tuesday also. Stupid Pink Floyd fanboys.

MoxieMan 01-20-2005 06:21 PM

where i live there are 3 classic rock stations but only one has all classic rock the others play a little bit of new rock but they are still worth listening to

MoxieMan 01-20-2005 06:24 PM

we have a two for tusday deal too THE BLIMP

magicbus 01-20-2005 06:25 PM

I don't hear a lot of Pink Floyd on mine. Every once in a while they'll play some, but not to the point of overplaying it.

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 06:27 PM

95.5 KLOS woodstock?

Johnny B. Good 01-20-2005 06:27 PM

On mine there will be a couple of Pink Floyd songs played sort of alot, but then once in a while they'll play a good Floyd song.

Woodstock 01-20-2005 06:28 PM
95.5 KLOS woodstock?
No, 94.5 XKR.

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 06:43 PM

Oh, has anyone heard "The Wall 2000"

It's the Wall covered by this CRAPPY CRAPPY ASS emo band covering the Wall.

Biggest dissapointment was NO GUITAR SOLO IN COMFORTABLY NUMB.

It was a flute solo.

I'm not kidding.

magicbus 01-20-2005 06:44 PM

That's gay. That's why I hate the world.

Woodstock 01-20-2005 06:46 PM

If it was by Jethro Tull, I'd take another look. But if it were by any other flutist, no way.

clown_phobia 01-20-2005 06:47 PM

Pink Floyd The Wall is an absolute classic. I'd say in the top 5 albums of all time.

Broken Arrow 01-20-2005 06:50 PM

I don't hear that much Run Like Hell on my station.

MalcolmYoungRock 01-20-2005 06:50 PM

It wasn't by the Tull I can tell you that much.

It was some crappy emo band.

I would normally care if someone said that but after looking at your postcount, usertitle and username. And even your avatar I have decided that you are worthless and shouldn't be taken seriously.
