Thats my least fvorite live album. Bruce sounds terrrible on the first 4 songs. Be quick or be dead was terrible.

Riva 12-30-2005 06:36 AM
nice. DWYBO was awesome at Leeds :p.

here's the Trooper where Steve and Blaze want to kill the bloke in the crowd.
Holy crap. Don't mess with Blaze. Wow. That bloke'd be shitting himself with Blaze and Steve calling him out like that.

Bruce just wasnt really into the FOTD tour 100%, at least blaze gave it his all every show.

Lord Abortion 12-30-2005 07:12 AM

Yeah, Blaze was really into it.
He was grateful to be in the band, I would suspect.

A downward spiral of making bad albums, if you looked at both blaze albums you see that blaze did actually help in writing a few songs. He made it fresh again.

very true, the 2 albums before Blaze were my least favourites then came X-Factor and Maiden went back up:)

-The Frank 12-30-2005 07:32 AM

I liked no prayer.........:(, but yah VXI and XF totally owned FOTD

Yeah, It seemed to.
I wonder how it would have gone if They had continued with him though?
He sorted himself out and accustomed himself to touring?

I can see a couple of the BNW songs being sung by him, certainly.
The Mercanary, I think would be one, maybe blood brothers too.

nah, he maybe wouldn't manage that.

i can see him doing a good job of The Wicker Man, maybe GotN, he would do quite well in BNW, Blood Brothers, The Mercenary and DoM

it would have been a good reunion allbum but not as good as BNW

Yep, i agree. Brave new world gave maiden a powerfull new direction. It sounded as fresh as ever. IT also gave them a chance to explore more in the next album. If they had released DOD first the next album would have less places they could explore. iT would end up sounding the same.

True, It just builds up my masive excitement for the new one.

the_uber_penguin 12-30-2005 10:32 AM

Yes. If I were asked to pick out my favourite tracks from DoD, I wouldn't have a problem: Title track, Paschendale, Journeyman, No More Lies, and Montesegur if pushed. On BNW, I wouldn't know where to start. All I can say is not the Nomad, even though it is a really good song.

Basically, the best songs on DoD are better then on BNW, but BNW is more consistently high quality.

To me BNW and DOD are equal, both have their ups and downs. Although if i had a gun to the head i would choose..............................nah i would just take the bullet
