Haha yeah. Tie Domi was the man. He hasn't been getting into fights as much lately ,which is all he's good for. There was one season he said he'd prove he could play hockey too; he failed.
He did alot for the Leafs in the last playoffs. |
He did alot for the Leafs in the last playoffs.
Good point. Come to think of it, he did manage to become a good player. I'd still rather see him fight though. :p |
Heh, Domi is one of the biggest bad asses in all of sports. That guy suits up every game just to kill someone.
Yeah, but all hockey teams have a guy like that, most of them just arent as well known as Domi. Its called "the enforcer". Also, wow, I can really tell the difference with this server. Before about 3 or 4 times a day it wouldnt be able to connect to the site. It hasnt happened once since the change. |
I personally don't like Domi though. He's an ugly arrogant punk, but I can't deny that he was awsome in the last playoffs.
I'd rather have Brashear. |
I never though Id miss hockey, I didnt even have a team that I followed. But I miss just watching random games on ESPN. Lets hope they follow the NBA and come to an agreement before this season.
|
They will.

The NHL will start on time next season. I have confidence it'll work out.
/// For those of you who are ranting about the NBA Finals: shut up and don't watch, then. Not everything has to be run-and-gun. I'd rather see a final score totalling in the 170's than a final score in the 230's. I like defense, but that's just because every position I've played in my years of sports has held a defensive mindset. Two points for a takedown. One point for a reversal. Keep a low base. Protect the quarterback. Rush the passer. Drill whoever has the ball. Gun down the base stealer. Front up the post player. Take charges. And so on and so forth. I'm not entertained by a basketball final score of 122-108. All you have are teams running down the court on the fast break for 48 minutes. Yeah, alley-oops and slam dunks are great because fans love it. But you can get that running a normal defensive set. I just don't see the point of watching only 3-on-2s for 48 minutes. Even the plays with flair get boring as hell. But again, that's just because I've always prided myself on my defensive capabilities, rather than my offense. Yeah, the first four games were blowouts. The first two games in San Antonio, and the Spurs obliterate the Pistons. Next two games at the Palace, and the Pistons dominate the Spurs. Sportswriters everywhere go  because the games have been unpredictable. But if you mean to tell me that Games 5 and 6 weren't any good, especially the former, then I really don't have much to say to you other than... well, never mind. And then there were people earlier in the Sports forum who say, "It doesn't matter who wins the Eastern Conference [Pistons/Heat], because they'll get crushed by the Spurs." And then when the Pistons advance, they say, "Here comes a sweep" or "The Pistons are ready to get blown out." And then we're at a Game 7. Game 7s in any sport are always great. If you don't like Game 7s, you're not a fan of playoff sports and should stick to home interior design or the culinary arts. If you're not excited for the NBA game tonight and you call yourself a basketball fan, that's just too bad, really. I personally don't like the 2-3-2 format of the Finals, but whatever. /// EDIT:
If I had my choice of enforcers I would take Todd Bertuzzi
Oh, you mean the cheap-shot artist who punched someone from behind, and continued to pummel him into the ice without warning? Oh, yeah, a great example of hockey, being faced with criminal charges for breaking the guy's neck and injuring his vertebrae. /// Hello to all by the way. |

No it was him who got hit in the face. I forgett the guys name who did it. |
I personally don't like the 2-3-2 format of the Finals, but whatever.
Oh, yeah, a great example of hockey, being faced with criminal charges for breaking the guy's neck and injuring his vertebrae.
Well first off, I agree. The 2-3-2 format gives way too much of an advantage to the home team. But, it eliminates a lot of the traveling. Also, my dad told me back in the day it was 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 thats how it should be, but, wayy too much traveling, the playoffs are long enough as it is. As far as Tod Bertuzzi, I know that was a horrible thing to do, but I belive he was in the top 5 in points two seasons ago, and hes just a really good player.
No it was him who got hit in the face. I forgett the guys name who did it.
Oh yeah your right. Marty McSorley is the guy who hit him.
What? Hey Jom.
Delete this post^, he is saying that he wants you to post your picture in here. Sorry but this is what AH went off about yesterday. |

So my friend went into a bar with my other mates last night for what was meant to be one drink, and he ended up forcing my mate to take them to these girls house in a town 20 miles away, and he stayed overnight. I wonder if he scored. |

What's rep? |
The only rep I ever got was from TheChosenOnes, so I could keep figuring out how much he gave. I wasn't too keen on the rep system, plus I hardly ever posted.
|
I have 123 rep.

i was only 50 posts short of getting stars when they removed it, but these forums are better off without it i reckon, it just became a popularity thing. hows everyone today? i hate thursdays...only day of the week i have 5 lessons on  and it was too hot to concentrate at school. ah well, only one lesson tomorrow...4 hours of extra sleep time :) |
What's rep?
Repuation points. Do good stuff, get positive rep. Do bad stuff, get negitive rep. It used to be so that anyone could rep, but after that system was abused now only Mods can rep.
I had lots of rep , I still have quite alot of rep now
My rep > your rep :p |
I had somewhere around 6000 rep. Now I have none, but I don't really care.

Doing alright, been on the computer since I woke up. Listening to some Arsis and watching SciFi channel.
Repuation points. Do good stuff, get positive rep. Yeah, they had that on the Scythes of Bodom board. In the form of little scythes or broken scythes. :D Pretty sweet. |
I had about 12,000 when it was abolished. I was the lowest posting person on the first page of rep.
