To give this post meaning, I'm going to go watch the Simpsons. Bye.

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 07:05 PM

yay for the simpsons.

Arucard 07-10-2005 07:06 PM

Did anyone else shed a tear/many tears for the VDay veterens and victims? I have been watching the shows on UkTv History all week, and i write stuff on Nazi Germany and WW2 alot, so i was very touched seeing all of those people at the marches, especially the surviving veterans, and the rendition of the famous Battle of Britain speech.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 07:07 PM

Veterans Day here is in November. When's yours?

EDIT: I'm guessing it's now, but what's the date? hehe

Arucard 07-10-2005 07:09 PM

Its now, commemorating the 60th aniversary (definatly an sp mistake) of the end of WW2.

Rothmans 07-10-2005 07:46 PM

Well this thread is running kinda so slow so does anyone smoke in here?

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 07:47 PM

I smoke air. Yep

Rothmans 07-10-2005 07:49 PM
I smoke air. Yep
Wtf? I mean tobacco?

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 07:49 PM

You're easy to mess with.

I smoked one cig and never did again.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 07:50 PM

I'm guessing it was a joke... I'm with you on this one r n r.

So uh...does anyone like music? :-/

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 07:51 PM

music is for faggots.

Good one...

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 07:56 PM

So uhh, how about where is everyone from? Also, say one thing you like about your area, and one thing you dislike. :D

Mabton, Washington: I like it because of my seclusion. It's nice to be out here in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to look at but endless hills of sage brush. The major thing I dislike about it is the fact that it is so small and boring. Nothing good every comes through here as far as musical acts, and there really isn't much else to explore than the C&D Mart that sells bongs. :p

Rothmans 07-10-2005 08:02 PM

I come from Arklow I like it because of some of the people here and drugs

I dont like it because of druggies and scumbags and just plain old ignorant fools.

BludgeonySteve 07-10-2005 08:06 PM

Calgary, Canada. Our claims to fame are the Calgary stampede (which is going on right now, woot), our Hockey team the Flames and for being the biggest city to still be a bunch of hicks

Kurtz 07-10-2005 08:08 PM

Cypress, California. [Orange County]

Likes: Close to Long Beach, not that far from LA.

Dislikes: Boring for a town with 50,000 people, the movie theater only plays two movies at a time, fashioncore/trendy fags everywhere. Needless to say, I don't like it here.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 08:09 PM

Ha! I have a 12 plex movie theater...Too bad I've only gone like 4 times. :p

Kurtz 07-10-2005 08:10 PM

I shouldn't really complain about the movie theater, since I don't go to it. At the Long Beach Town Center, there's a theater with 26 screens. It's a five minute drive from my house.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 08:52 PM

Does anybody else wish that you had kept a sort of 'library' of avatars that you've had in the past, just for nostalgia? I think it would be cool to look back and say "Hey cool, December '04, check out my trendy X-mas avatar!"

It's probably just me, but since this thread needs CPR, I thought I'd share. :)

Jom 07-10-2005 08:58 PM
Jom: I was wondering if you could do me one more Powertabs-related favor. :hopeful:

Could you send me textedit (normal tab files) of any Andy Timmons songs that may be on the site, particularly "Cry for You?"

I know I bother you about it a lot, and I'm sorry that Mac doesn't have its own powertab program. But I would very much appreciate it. :) Thanks in advance if you decide to help.

Congrats on your name change BTW. And I apologize for derailing this thread yesterday.
Posting to say that I'll take a look after I catch up with everything.
Jom? Jom?!

You changed your name? :o

All because of my typo. :(
I was under the impression that it wasn't a typo

Besides, your "typo" got everyone hooked into calling me that, so it might as well fit.
Nice name change, but you don't watch manga, you read it. :p
See? I'm a n00b with stuff like that. :-\

Don't forget to add 200-or-so posts due to her secondary account, heh.
Hey guys, I'm trying to ressurect the official thread cover competition, but it's not going so well, so if you can record, and you're at least somewhat interested in recording stuff, please do so. It's not only official threads that are able to take place, but pretty much any large thread. Classic rock, deathheads, etc.. are aloud to participate. Please, just do me a favor and consider it
Well, don't forget what this month's metal competition theme is. And yeah, while your thread applies to the other genres, I think more people are focused on Bobo's/Ramsey's thread.

///

Anyway, hello.

Cain: I'll look for those Powertabs now, if they're there.

EDIT: there are two tabs, but none for "Cry For You." The two in the archive are "Farmer Sez" and "Super '70s." :-\

I'm from SW Pennsylvania. A little town called Latrobe to be exact.

Steerpike knows what I'm talking about :)

EDIT: Lancaster County? Pfft, that's like three or four hours away. Don't even TALK about Eastern and Western Pennsylvania being the same thing. We're worlds apart.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 09:28 PM

Hey I used to live in PA. How far away from Lancaster County are you? (lolol amish)

Oh yeah, Alex is from Pittsburgh.

Shattered_Future 07-10-2005 09:36 PM

New City, New York. (my town)

Not very creative names...

Likes: It's quiet
Dislikes: It's quiet...plus, NOBODY around here save for a few people like metal.

Illmatic 07-10-2005 09:40 PM

My current residence is in Boston. The good part is that the sports teams are good and it's close to Cape Cod. The bad part is that there's too much traffic and a lot of the people are annoying.

BoboTheRagingHobo 07-10-2005 09:50 PM

I live out in a little redneck town in Oregon.

Good side of it is that I can be loud as I want since we own 5 acres of land, but it is quite the bland life here.

Also alot of stupid rednecks and such in this town...
