The B115H looks pretty cool. Any suggestions or stuff you've tried? You're the gear master.

MX Gear Master = FUNKN.

Go for one of the 212 0r 410, they'll be better in the long run, or even a 210 if your really strapped for cash. I have 2 410s from them as well as a 212, great cabs to say the least, i highly recommend them.

ScorpSath 10-23-2004 12:05 PM

I'm here...

FUNKNBASS 10-23-2004 12:06 PM

Hey Scorp, Quat convinced me to get a BDGT-7, im getting it later today.

ScorpSath 10-23-2004 12:13 PM

Now that my friend is radical!

ShelBel 10-23-2004 12:14 PM

Greetings all! Lucky me, I'm working today, and I've had one- yes, one- hour of sleep due to the fact that hubby and I hung out with our friends' band last night. Had a blast, got drunk, got a little bit sad when the drummer told us he's leaving in a couple months, but still had fun overall.

Anyone else go out last night?

bottlerocket 10-23-2004 12:14 PM

How would a Ray 5 sound through an Avatar B212 with a GK 700RBII head?

Total, it's 2,209.50 (with shipping and everything). I think that's a wicked awesome price for an Avatar cab, Ray 5, and a GK head.

Nope. I never go out.

:upset:

FUNKNBASS 10-23-2004 12:15 PM

I did, I went to this local Carnival with my band members and got drunk, it was pretty fun.

bottlerocket 10-23-2004 12:16 PM

It'll sound great, the GKs have a lot of pure power and sound alot louder than thier rating, the Avatar cab has a great power rating and the SR5 is a wonderful bass. Congrats if your getting that, it would make a great setup.

bottlerocket 10-23-2004 12:17 PM

^ Yeah, I'll go to GC today and try out the cab/head if I can. Maybe even the bass through it, too, if they have it.

GC dosent carry Avatar, no one does, you order them through thier site www.avatarspeakers.com, they ship really quickly and Dave the owner of Avatar talks to you directly over the phone, he's really cool, he's a big help and is real nice.

bottlerocket 10-23-2004 12:20 PM

^ Yeah I figured that.

just got the action lowered reallly low , on my corvette

gaslight 10-23-2004 12:25 PM

I'm thinking of having the action set really low on my Ibanez SR500 when it comes in.

So my other basses have a high action and I will practice on them, so when it comes time to play the SR500 my fingers will find it must easier.

Foxfire 10-23-2004 12:25 PM

So I just went to Best Buy. I said to myself, "Ted, you spend way too much on the computer."

So I picked up Star Ocean for PS2.

Surely though you will need practice on a low action bass to ensure you don't get fret buzz and things? High action is harder to play, but it's a lot more forgiving.

Foxfire 10-23-2004 12:28 PM

I never beat the Star Ocean for PSX. :upset:

I've really gotten behind on my video gaming.

FUNKNBASS 10-23-2004 12:29 PM

I'm waiting for GTA: SA to come out.

I figure I would get used to the low action during the period of excitement when I get the new one?

I guess I'd have to see.

Left Shoe 10-23-2004 12:30 PM

my action is currently 2/32 of an inch

ridethelightning 10-23-2004 12:32 PM
