So it's October.

Where's that friggin' September newsletter.
Good question.

As for me... I have Audioslave tonight. :thumb: :D

Syncratic 10-01-2005 11:41 AM

So...for the past week, I haven't listened to Tool or APC.

For me, it was unhealthy to listen to primarily those two bands.

I think I'll have a new outlook on this music now.

Indeed. ;)

Magicaltroll 10-01-2005 07:35 PM

So... Any news on Tool that's worth hearing?
My computer has been dead, so I haven't been on.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-01-2005 08:35 PM

Nothing great. Lateralus came out on vinyl, but you probably already know that, depending on how long you're computer has been fried. Welcome back, anyways. :)

Magicaltroll 10-01-2005 08:50 PM

Yup, that's OLD news :p
And thanks.

ThePatient 10-01-2005 09:19 PM

Speaking of which, has anyone actually gotten it?

Static 10-01-2005 09:28 PM

I did, for collector purposes.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-01-2005 09:28 PM

The guy who made up the story about the September 25th release date did. He said it was 30 bucks, so forget that. :p I did also hear though, that the track order is somehow messed up. Disposition appears somewhere earlier in the album, which is odd.

Dude3 10-01-2005 09:31 PM

It seemed like you were missing for a little bit on here, Brian.

No news really. I went to Ska is Dead 3 in St.Petersburg, Florida. Streetlight Manifesto headlined. Possibly the best concert I've ever been to.

On a side note: Does anybody have any live videos of The Dillinger Escape Plan? I used to have some, but I accidently deleted them.

I'm sure all footage is destroyed during Greg Puciato's chaotic water bottle attacks on the audience. I was lucky to make it out alive without having an Evian bottle rammed down my throat.

Dude3 10-01-2005 09:36 PM

I saw DEP in Orlando, during Gigantour.

Well technically, I was in-line getting autographs from Megadeth. But I could still see them a little bit.

Anyways, if somebody does have some live DEP vids and would'nt mind sending them to me, my AIM is Crazynessdude3
My e-mail is Crazynessdude3@aol.com

BlindWriting 10-01-2005 09:43 PM

Just got back from Porcupine Tree live. All I can say is wow.

It's now that Dan-whores-his-brief-live-review time.

I saw them in Boston; one of the best shows I've ever been to.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2005 04:14 PM

Those aren't new pictures, sadly. :upset: Man, I almost got excited for a second, and now I'm just kind of sad. Bastard! :p

He hasn't updated in a while. I want more recording pictures.

BlindWriting 10-02-2005 04:19 PM

August 14th...

Ach. My bad.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2005 05:03 PM

Hey, no problem for me. I'm sure someone can use it. I mean, I'm probably the only guy who checks Adam's myspace every other day for updates.

Darkness 10-02-2005 05:06 PM

Saw Audioslave last night... holy crap. That show was f'ing incredible to say the least. They played a part of Bulls on Parade, all of Sleep now, Testify and Killing in the Name. Plus some Soundgarden songs and a crap load of Audioslave songs. It was amazing, Tom really can shred when he wants to, and that guys still full of as much energy as he was on the Self titled RATM DVD, believe it or not.

Oh yeah, and we had really good seat tickets, and some guy wanted to trade us his floor tickets because his girlfriend didn't want to stand up the whole time... (even though they could have just sat in seats anyway..) so naturally we took the tickets and got onto the floor. :thumb:

/random post in a thread that has nothing to do with Audioslave

Txus 10-02-2005 05:09 PM

^^ That's awesome that they still play their ex-band stuff.

denboy 10-02-2005 05:16 PM

Audioslave rocks live.. I'd go see them again in a heartbeat

Agreed, the band looked like they were having a great time, joking with the crowd, Tom smiling through half the set, and Chris said they were definatly going to make it a habit of coming back (its their first time here)... :thumb:

Thor 10-02-2005 05:25 PM

I saw their live videos of them at Live 8 and it didn't look all that great.

ThePatient 10-02-2005 05:30 PM

Off topic, but I figure that anyone who would be interested in this will likely be in this thread. I got King Crimson's live DVD, and its great. Trey Gunn and his Warr is incredibly cool. And Robert Fripp just sat off to the side under a blue light and just looked like a mad scientist the whole time. If you can get your hands on this, I highly recommend it.

...check torrents, that's where I got it...

It is impossible to judge how bands are live through live videos

Nice. I love King Crimson, and Fripp opened for the Porcupine Tree show I went to last night. He always sits when he performs.
King Crimson is awesome.. I love the bootleg of Tool and KC playing live together. It's neato.
I saw an interesting King Crimson DVD a while ago. Apart from the normal live show, it has a little feature where you choose a vocalist, soloist and rhythm section for 21st Century Schizoid Man out of any Crimson era. Alas, I didn't get it. It was interesting feature, but I didn't particularly think the normal songs on it were worth buying a DVD for.

"CHAT PARTY WITH MEMBERS OF TOOL

It 's looking pretty good for another OCTOBER 12th CHAT PARTY with the MEMBERS OF TOOL for you members of the 'Collective.' We did this last year, had some fun, so I thought we'd try it again (I'm sure you TA guys will think of something to ask them about). Along with the members of the band, it's also your chance to chat with some of their musician friends, including the members of BUTCHER (Sasha, Camella, Reeder & more), kaRIN and Statik of COLLIDE, Aaron and some of the guys from ISIS, Buzz and Dale of THE MELVINS, some PLC folk and VOLTO! As soon as I get the Silver Coleman back from Heather's, and figure out who's going to take charge of the grill, I'll get back with you with more details. "

Look! News! Sadly its not album related... :upset:
