Piece of mind, but the X-Factor comes a close second.
|
Thanks again. Hopefully, ill get it soon...
|
I would go w/ Powerslave. I love Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Even though its like 14 minutes long
|
Im liking The Number of The Beast. My first and only Maiden album. And I want to get another one in the near future. The Frank had recomended me these albums not too long ago, but im just looking to buy one for now, so which one should i buy first in the albums that The Frank mentioned to me ?
Brave new world Dance of death Powerslave Seventh son of a seventh son Piece of mind
out of them BNW |
i say get powerslave, its a great album
|
Powerslave's my favorite (as if you couldn't tell from the avatar).
I'm not sure you should get X-Factor next, fans seem rather split on that one, I'd save it for later. |
So do y'all actually like the X-Factor? I was reading a special edition Hammer magazine on Iron Maiden and I got the impression everyone disliked the albums with Blaze as the front man. I listen to the first 5 tracks on the X-Factr (Sign of the Cross (amazing), lord of the flies, man on the edge, look for the truth and fortunes or war) and I really like them, but I'm scared to listen to anymore in case I don't like them! Sounds a bit silly I know

Nah, that metal hammer special was a load of crap, pretty much everyone in here loves Blaze. |

The X-Factor is an amazing album, people just don't like the Blaze albums because they are ignorant fools who need their ears torn off. |
You should so ask fot this thread to be called 'Gimme Thread Til i'm Dead'.
To be honest. I quite like some of Blaze's stuff. I prefer Bruce singing his songs like Futureal and Sign Of The Cross. But he's better than he gets credit for. |

This is true. I used to be this way until I heard Sign Of The Cross and I was converted. I picked up the X-Factor a few days ago, and it looks like it will be one of my favorite Maiden albums. Check the avatar. |
X-Factor = Amazing compared to other albums, but it didn't have that 'Maiden' feel. I still put it in the top ten
|
Top 10 Maiden albums? That could be pretty low.

Maybe 6 or 7. SSOASS being 1! |
I have to say, i wasnt that impressed with DOD. There were a couple of good ones in there e.g. the title track. But it definetly wasnt as good as Brave New World or the classic Maiden Albums.
A great band, could have done slightly better on this one, especially with wildest dreams. Im looking forward to the next album - apparently a concept album, hopefully its as good as Seventh Son OF A Seventh Son |

Blaze's Futureal>>>>Bruce's Futureal |
Yeah, BNW, Piece of mind, SSOASS and X-factor.
They would be the four I would get next.
X-Factor is awful. The Angel And The Gambler is the worst song they ever wrote. Easily their worst album. EDIT: Oh. I'm thinking of Virtual XI. Which really sucks. |
It's better than No prayer or FOTD...
Actually The song NPFTD is growing on me, I quite like it now. |
Oh man that would kick ass X-Factor's an ok album. Not their best but not bad. |

Actually, vocally I have to agree. Bruce is definitly awesome, but Blaze's voice fits the song increadably well. But then again, the version of Brucec singing Futureal that I saw involved Bruce, Steve Harris, and Adrian Smith fighting a giant Eddie puppet, so you've got to give that one props. |

Actually The song NPFTD is growing on me, I quite like it now.
FOTD is great IMO. It has Afraid To Shoot Strangers (Really fun guitar melody to play) Childhoods End, Wasting Love, Judas Be My Guide though the bad songs are awful, namely The Apparition. NPFTD is a mediocre album. |
