omg guys
Long-defunct British thrashers SABBAT will reunite to support CRADLE OF FILTH on their upcoming U.K. tour in December. The reunion came about "due to many a conversation with Dani [Filth, CRADLE frontman] and Paul [Allender, COF guitarist] whilst mixing the [new] CRADLE album," SABBAT guitarist-turned-producer Andy "Undie" Sneap told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "It was put to us that they'd love to see it happen (Dani still has his stolen copy of 'Dreamweaver' [1989] on cassette), and the more we've talked about it, it just seemed like opening for CRADLE on these shows would be a great way of getting the five of us together again for a bit of fun. It's not a long-term thing, [and we don't have] any delusions about the future — [it's] just a chance to play some of the old songs and have a blast."

SABBAT 2006 reunion lineup (same as that on 1989's "Dreamweaver"):

Martin Walkyier - Vocals
Andy Sneap - Guitar
Simon Jones - Guitar
Fraser Craske - Bass
Simon Negus - Drums

Says Sneap: "We just have to try and remember the songs, but we've had three rehearsals already and it sounds great."

Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
CoF sucks, but I'd probably go to that to see Sabbat. That is, if it came anywhere I live...

Freezing Moon 09-09-2006 12:01 AM

Ahaha. Cof. HAIL TEKC THRAHS. SABBAT RULES.

MAna i think i drank too much.

pate 09-09-2006 12:52 AM

Sabbat is awesome.

playguitar 09-09-2006 05:10 AM

The dude that produces Nevermore? He's in Sabbat? That's funny to me, I don't know why...I've only heard a little Sabbat, it's hard to find.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-09-2006 05:18 AM

That's because the albums are out of print. Apparently Sneap is trying to track down the master tapes to the old albums to remaster and re-release them.

He has produced the last two Kreator and Exodus albums plus heaps more.

Yea, he's a really well known guy, it's cool he's actually gonna do this.

I would maybe consider it. At least since Sabbat would play first you could just leave before CoF :D

np: Razor - Violent Restitution

FatalEnergy 09-10-2006 01:25 AM

Sorry guys, haven't been around much lately. I can say I have written the world's most badass song. It sounds like something off of Butchered at Birth except more thrashy than deathy, and without blastbeats. I have a MIDI version of it if anyone wants to critique it.

This is true, and I will most likely do that, seeing as I cannot tolerate any CoF.

metal-militia 09-11-2006 04:30 PM

Wow, that news about Sabbat is brilliant. Shame that they are supporting CoF, but i shall still go.

np: Sabbat - Behind the Crooked Cross

Apocalyptic Raids 09-12-2006 01:28 AM

Come to think of it, I haven't listened to Sabbat in a long while.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-18-2006 07:51 AM

NP: Hammerhead \m/

pate 09-18-2006 08:31 AM

Doomsday for the Deceiver is pure ownage.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-18-2006 08:33 AM

Yeah, it's my favourite F&J.

No Place For Disgrace is great, too.

pate 09-18-2006 08:39 AM

I've not heard it. I will check it out.

Freezing Moon 09-18-2006 03:58 PM

Great band. I havne't listened to them much though. I'll have to give them another spin when I get home from this hell (school).

Apocalyptic Raids 09-19-2006 01:45 AM

Newstead should have stuck with them instead, hahah.

pate 09-19-2006 09:36 AM

Haha. Indeed.

AA-12 09-20-2006 07:51 PM

Anyone discover some good thrash lately??

Nepenthe 09-20-2006 07:54 PM

Shah. Check it, it's some thrashin stuff.

I've also rediscovered the greatness of Victims Of Deception.

AA-12 09-20-2006 08:08 PM

Will do.

Nepenthe 09-20-2006 08:09 PM

Nepenthe 09-20-2006 08:19 PM

Man, the Heathen's Song off of Victims is sooo epic.

pate 09-20-2006 11:26 PM

Heathen is so underrated.

FatalEnergy 09-20-2006 11:26 PM

Anyone heard of Deathchain. Awesome Death/Thrash from Finland. Check out Deadmeat Disciples. It's like Demolition Hammer on crack.

NP: Necrodeath - Internal Decay

Freezing Moon 09-20-2006 11:31 PM

Deathrash Assault is the better of their two albums, I'd say. GRAVEYARD WITCHERY! RAISE THE DEAD!

Lately I've been listening to unholy amounts of Morbid Saint. Also lots of Artillery, Shah, and Possessed.
