Long-defunct British thrashers SABBAT will reunite to support CRADLE OF FILTH on their upcoming U.K. tour in December. The reunion came about "due to many a conversation with Dani [Filth, CRADLE frontman] and Paul [Allender, COF guitarist] whilst mixing the [new] CRADLE album," SABBAT guitarist-turned-producer Andy "Undie" Sneap told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "It was put to us that they'd love to see it happen (Dani still has his stolen copy of 'Dreamweaver' [1989] on cassette), and the more we've talked about it, it just seemed like opening for CRADLE on these shows would be a great way of getting the five of us together again for a bit of fun. It's not a long-term thing, [and we don't have] any delusions about the future — [it's] just a chance to play some of the old songs and have a blast." SABBAT 2006 reunion lineup (same as that on 1989's "Dreamweaver"): Martin Walkyier - Vocals Andy Sneap - Guitar Simon Jones - Guitar Fraser Craske - Bass Simon Negus - Drums Says Sneap: "We just have to try and remember the songs, but we've had three rehearsals already and it sounds great." Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=58037 |
CoF sucks, but I'd probably go to that to see Sabbat. That is, if it came anywhere I live...
|
Ahaha. Cof. HAIL TEKC THRAHS. SABBAT RULES.
MAna i think i drank too much. |
Sabbat is awesome.
|
The dude that produces Nevermore? He's in Sabbat? That's funny to me, I don't know why...I've only heard a little Sabbat, it's hard to find.
|
That's because the albums are out of print. Apparently Sneap is trying to track down the master tapes to the old albums to remaster and re-release them.
He has produced the last two Kreator and Exodus albums plus heaps more. |

I would maybe consider it. At least since Sabbat would play first you could just leave before CoF :D np: Razor - Violent Restitution |
Sorry guys, haven't been around much lately. I can say I have written the world's most badass song. It sounds like something off of Butchered at Birth except more thrashy than deathy, and without blastbeats. I have a MIDI version of it if anyone wants to critique it.

np: Razor - Violent Restitution
This is true, and I will most likely do that, seeing as I cannot tolerate any CoF. |
Wow, that news about Sabbat is brilliant. Shame that they are supporting CoF, but i shall still go.

Come to think of it, I haven't listened to Sabbat in a long while.
|
Just posting to say how fucking awesome the first two Flotsam & Jetsam albums are
NP: Hammerhead \m/ |
Doomsday for the Deceiver is pure ownage.
|
Yeah, it's my favourite F&J.
No Place For Disgrace is great, too. |
I've not heard it. I will check it out.
|
Great band. I havne't listened to them much though. I'll have to give them another spin when I get home from this hell (school).
|
Newstead should have stuck with them instead, hahah.
|
Haha. Indeed.
|
Anyone discover some good thrash lately??
|
Shah. Check it, it's some thrashin stuff.
I've also rediscovered the greatness of Victims Of Deception. |
Will do.

I've also rediscovered the greatness of Victims Of Deception.
haven't listened to that album or any Heathen really in a while too.....time to break the silence (go ****ty puns!!!) |
Man, the Heathen's Song off of Victims is sooo epic.
|
Heathen is so underrated.
|
Anyone heard of Deathchain. Awesome Death/Thrash from Finland. Check out Deadmeat Disciples. It's like Demolition Hammer on crack.
NP: Necrodeath - Internal Decay |
Deathrash Assault is the better of their two albums, I'd say. GRAVEYARD WITCHERY! RAISE THE DEAD!
Lately I've been listening to unholy amounts of Morbid Saint. Also lots of Artillery, Shah, and Possessed. |
