no pipe tobacco is bad for you
Except if you have a pipe like Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds, then you`re ballin`.

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:43 PM

i don't watch Quentin Terrantino flicks.

TimJim 11-11-2009 11:43 PM

who is wuentin teritino and why do you guys mention him when EMH comes along

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:45 PM

pulp fiction hipster

illmitch 11-11-2009 11:45 PM

quentin tarantino is good ****

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:46 PM

death proof was a cute action film

TimJim 11-11-2009 11:46 PM

what are some movies he's in

illmitch 11-11-2009 11:46 PM

hes not an actor

hes a director

Glitterati 11-11-2009 11:46 PM
i don't watch Quentin Terrantino flicks.
That`s a shame, Kill Bill is quality.

edit - he`s acted in Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Four Rooms, Death Proof, Desperado, From Dusk `Till Dawn, and some other stuff. Mostly in his own early films and some stuff by Robert Rodriguez because they`re apparently close friends.

illmitch 11-11-2009 11:47 PM

anyway some stuff hes directed:

reservoir dogs
pulp fiction
kill bill
inglourious basterds

Meatplow 11-11-2009 11:47 PM
hes not an actor

okay then what movies did he make

Txus 11-11-2009 11:47 PM

kill bill is a ****ing rip off from lady snowblood

his other movies are good though

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:48 PM

i used to work at an indie pop station hosted from the basement of a college right

and they told us not to play music from the pulp fiction soundtrack because it was too hipster

illmitch 11-11-2009 11:49 PM

well, yes hes done acting, but primarily hes a director

timjim: see above post

Deth 11-11-2009 11:49 PM

tarantino is one of the worst actors in history, needs to stop giving himself roles

also don't care for most of his movies

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:50 PM

hey let's have a whole movie take place in one room and cut off the cops ear at the end

i used ecstasy during the making of kill bill

Meatplow 11-11-2009 11:51 PM
kill bill is a ****ing rip off from lady snowblood

anyway some stuff hes directed:

reservoir dogs

+ jackie brown and the death proof segment of grindhouse

he also directed the big fat kill scene in sin city, wrote the script for true romance and natural born killers, and has producer credits on hostel, hell ride, and hero

edit - and reservoir dogs is a ripoff of city on fire by ringo lam, with influences from the killing by stanley kubrick

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:55 PM

natural born killers was ghey

Meatplow 11-11-2009 11:55 PM

he disowned involvement with that one I believe

Jaundice 11-11-2009 11:57 PM

i would have too

Glitterati 11-12-2009 12:00 AM
he disowned involvement with that one I believe
I heard that, yeah, he wrote it for Oliver Stone, who then changed it so much Q.T. wanted his name taken off of it, and then after how controversial it was Oliver tried to re-sell it as a parody. Its already a great film, but I would be interested in seeing it with the original script.

illmitch 11-12-2009 12:08 AM

so the prologue to this book is 72 pages long

robert jordan you have outdone yourself

i love robert jordan

and those prologues of his are pretty much just flashbacks at the beginning of the book so its cool

C.O.A. 11-12-2009 12:30 AM

qt also did the scene "The Man from Hollywood" from four rooms. that movie wasn't that great though. i mean, i still enjoyed it, but it wasn't very good...

i actually loved the prologue tbh

i was marvelling at how much substance he managed to make out of a prologue

Jaundice 11-12-2009 12:35 AM

past is prologue
