I play bass and sing. We're also going to be selling our demo tonight for the first time, hopefully get some cash.

yeah i play guitar and sing, but a lot of my guitar is also the lead for some parts. Then i have to get into something i can sing over, but i usually get something really complex going. We're going to be playing a cover of The Light and The Glass - Coheed and Cambria. It should go well, we got another practice monday to get the finishing touches on the song.

Wow, "Light And Glass" is pretty challenging. I get to play guitar for one song because I actually wrote the guitar part and my rhythm guitarist plays bass. I know what you mean about singing and playing at the same time, it can get kinda tricky when you're playing some weirdly timed stuff.

Fish 06-03-2006 12:29 PM

i guess you got nothing else to do.

/yeah, we really got it down though, and we do this killer solo at the end we're just debating how long we should go for at the end with it.

The Light and the Glass is really easy if you do the acoustic version.

Fish 06-03-2006 12:59 PM

do you have any recordings?

/we arent doing the acoustic version. Actually, we're kind of doing a mix between the two
the uk is denied anything good i.e tours, stupid good c ountrries
Download, Leeds/Reading, Give It A Name, Deconstruction, Taste Of Chaos

Maybe American gets tours because it's so big, but the UK is small, so we get awesome festivals.

Kif 06-03-2006 01:34 PM
So, I'm going to see Gatsby's American Dream tonight. :D

But... Horse the Band dropped off the tour, so now, I don't get to see them. This is the second time in a row that they were supposed to play Buffalo and didn't.

Oh, and the reason: They had some really good pizza and decided to go home and write an album about it.
That reasons sounds about right to me. HTB are crazy mothertruckers.

Are Forgive Durden playing? I thought they were. If so, you are lucky. I'd kill to see GAD and FD, letalone at the same gig
I have the PC version.

Hi Jo.

EDIT: Kif: I can upload it on YSI if you want.

I'll start compressing it now.
/is posting on my Mactop

Yeah, thanks a lot...

How much does the song "At Your Funeral" by Saves The Day rule? This is actually pretty much the only song I've ever heard by them.

cbmartinez 06-03-2006 01:38 PM

You need me to send you Through Being Cool then.

Bad Blood 06-03-2006 01:43 PM

Through Being Cool is an awesome album. Def. one of their best.

Sep 06-03-2006 01:46 PM

I should really get aim again.

cobert 06-03-2006 01:47 PM

Through Being Cool is probably the best straight-up pop-punk album ever.

Sup bitches.

cbmartinez 06-03-2006 01:47 PM

This is true. It's a toss up between that and Say It Like You Mean It.

cobert 06-03-2006 01:51 PM

Meh, I never liked Say It Like You Mean It.

New Saves The Day was a (minor) letdown. I wasnt expecting it to be amazing, but i didnt expect it to try and sound like My Chemical Romance either. They just tried being too dark. In stead of 'reinventing' themselves like they try to do with every album, they should have just focused on making another good album.

cbmartinez 06-03-2006 01:52 PM

I was listening to it in my friend's car. The music sounded good but his vocals were pretty unbearable.

Kif 06-03-2006 01:54 PM

Stay What You Are > Through Being Cool

cbmartinez 06-03-2006 01:57 PM

They're both extremely good but I'd say TBC takes the cake.

They seemed more whiny than they usually are, and that's pretty whiny. And all the lyrics make me laugh, at one point, he mentions someone eating his face.
