I starting getting into the thrashy metal so I checked Children of Bodom out and they were pretty awesome. Mask of Sanity is a good song.

stop bashing Nu-Metal. without nu-metal i won't listen to metal today and to be serious i still like some bands and albums.

@fred durst: i even bought the album "chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavoured water" and i liked it. i haven't listen to this album for years, but i know that some songs are really good.

ps.: i listen to korn and even Linkin Park... yes i like them, beside Death metal like Nile, Necrophagist, Behemoth!

Nu-Metal got me into metal as well. But does that mean I have to still like it? No. I am embarassed that I listened to Nu-Metal at a time in my life, even if it did spark my interest in heavier music.

I used to listen to Nu-metal... but it's certainly not what got me into heavier music... because... it isn't heavy. It's totally different then any real metal, I would have never listened to Bodom or anything like that when I listened to Linkin Park, Slipknot, all those bands.

Lacuna Coil's new album is awful. The first three songs are neat. Then it just goes south. Very south.

The guitars and bass dominate the songs. Neither is a strong point for LC. The vocals fall back in the shadows. The drumming is different and improved. All in all... The first three songs are neat, rest is crap.

The guitars sound downtuned from the already heavy BEADGBE. It really sounds like Korn, but not as good.(ouch).

Not like they have ever been good anyway :-\
