Come With Me was basically a dump on Zeppelin's legacy. It was almost as bad as when Puffy ruined Every Breath You Take.

Broken Arrow 12-03-2004 01:48 PM

I saw April Wine in concert. I also included thickasabrick on my list.

How did that guy have 3 stars?

Lucky! April Wine is one of the best live band that I can think of :). My friend lent me a DVD of theirs once.

gmoneyguy 12-03-2004 02:35 PM

I need to check them out.

Woodstock 12-03-2004 03:31 PM
hey wow Badmoon mentioned me in a list he made! thanks badmoon. there's a first and last time for everything.

And I don't think Come With Me was that bad. At least Puff Daddy had the respect to show Jimmy Page playing the song on his guitar, not just stealing the riff and using it. I'm glad he gave Jimmy Page some credit, unlike most rappers when they steal riffs.
Yeah, I say Jimmy Page and Puff Daddy do the duet on a SNL repeat, it wasnt very good.

It's unfortunate that they did that.

Broken Arrow 12-03-2004 03:43 PM

This Just In: Jack Casady still tours with Jorma as Hot Tuna, which I didn't know, but of course they won't be coming anywhere near me. Also, he's putting out a new solo album.

Then Badmoon told me, so I know who they are now. Jefferson Starship has a new live album too, I didn't even know they still existed.

(very deep sarcasm)

I don't like your attitude young man. Thankfully they don't play that. However, they do play 3/5 of a Mile in Ten Seconds, White Rabbit, and Wooden Ships, so I don't think it'd be too bad.

Says the one with the AC/DC user title.

SkaRobotArmy 12-03-2004 04:12 PM
Dangit I forgot cream an Eric Clapton on my list. Oh well, if people call it classic rock I like it :thumb:.
that is ridiculous, and utterly closed minded of you to just say i like its cause in this genre,

Neil Young and Rush are about the only only classic rock i listen to, i get bored with most like the beatles and led zeppelin, because the songs are bland and lack energy, especially the beatles, Yes though, is the worst of them all, with many songs pushing the 10 minute mark but only about 2 or 3 minutes of actual song. I also greatly dislike the 'classic' rock culture if i may call it that, 90% of the people who listen to it will always just assume its better because they think its more talented or more influential, personally i dont care whether or not a band is talented, solos to me are not the climactic part of the song, sure the odd one is enjoyable but 2-3 minutes of some hippy playing guitar real fast just doesnt impress me...

and yes i know, since i like punk my opinions are invalid here in the world of real musicians but it is a discussion thread, this was my discussion

No, your opinion is invalid because that post was from about 8 months ago.

And you are very confused person. There is no Classic Rock lifestyle, we all listen to different music than this. And if anything, the ones playing the uninteresting fast guitars would be the punks.

Look, it's more likely to be recognized as an AC/DC motto. And why do you have a problem with everything someone says. All you seem to do is hang around this thread and PMS all over people's opinions. Advice: Become productive.

The ones with that line of thinking cant turn on computers in the first place. So you wont find it in here.

What's your idea of "being productive"?

gmoneyguy 12-03-2004 04:36 PM
What's your idea of "being productive"?
Being constructive, and not tearing peoples thoughts down.

Woodstock 12-03-2004 04:37 PM
What's your idea of "being productive"?
Start conversations and stop opinionating everything. Become open minded and don't criticize every band or song someone likes. That's about it.

Broken Arrow 12-03-2004 04:37 PM
What's your idea of "being productive"?
By posting stuff that other posters will actually care about, instead of just posting stupid stuff.
