I drove for about an hour and twenty minutes today to have a tooth examination that took about seven minutes.
I am angered because this is time I could have spent jacking off and/or playing Mario Kart. |
I want that game so bad but a. I cant find it b. I am mad poor

Hello everyone, why do these forums seem so inactive?
|
why'd you drive so far to see the dentist?
|
are there any worthwhile music magazines you guys read? i think wire is pretty decent but most of the ones ive come across seem like ****
|
I keep getting spin because music festivals give me free subscriptions
|
Paste is ok, its seems to have pretty much been overtaken by hipsters though. my brother gets Rolling Stone and it sucks big time but I read some of the articles if they feature someone cool
|
is amoeba really neat zmev?
like is it worth visiting or is it just another record shop? |
Not only are both bay area locations great shops but they're also in the middle of big cultural things per city (San Francisco and Haight St./Berkeley and Telegraph Avenue).
So yes either one is more than worth visiting. Plus there are free shows listed here http://www.amoeba.com/live-shows/calendars.html |
ugh must go there
|
Dear Okay,
Is there a site that displays all the cool shows coming up in the Tucson area? Example: r5productions.com lists all the good and meh shows coming up in Philadelphia. I imagine there's something similar for Tucson. I saw signs for Pinback in a couple of places. |
lmao yeah because philly and tuscon are comparable
|

I started casually reading this British music magazine called Uncut a few years back, it's pretty cool. I can't subscribe to it in Canada so I usually just buy it off the stand. |
r5productions doesnt list all the shows they list their shows
|

Music scenes in cities are totally comparable.
r5productions doesnt list all the shows they list their shows
That's true, but there aren't many shows I go to that they don't setup. |
Sargent House is re-releasing Maps and Atlases' first two albums in stores, along with two other albums made by related members of the band:

Me and my friend were walking by our old high school tonight and we found a Bob The Builder toy in the grass. Naturally we put it on the concrete and set it on fire. After his face melted he just fused to the pavement and that's left is a little bubbly black spot.

if you're going to burn things you better get some blank cd-rs and help keep mother nature safe from pyros

Stop trolling and STFU. Thnkz. In other news I just bought Batman: The Killing Joke & Wanted graphic novels. Been wanting both for a while. Interested to read Wanted and then see the film to see what they messed up on. |
I am not trolling.
|
i saw RATM at a festival this summer, i don't like the band (at all), but they were fun live. until the crowds got too violent for me and one friend..we were too stoned by that point to deal with it, and so left for the campsite to wait on the others while drinking. festivals are fun!
who else is playing at Reading? |
Holy ****, Yeasayer, Digitalism, Vampire Weekend, These New Puritans, umm... those were the best ones i saw and knew on the line-up, which is http://www.readingfestival.com/lineup/lineup.aspx
so i just saw Panther with Digital Leather and some others. ****in awesome show, did some amazing stuff with vocals / delay / looping, and rearranging their songs. they would sample parts from songs of theirs and make it into an entirely new song, it was so great. he actually played the show with a pick of mine, haha... asked me at the last second if i had one on me and i did. talked to the guy a bunch, he's really cool. bought just about everything they had for sale (14 Kt. God 12" LP, How Well Can You Swim 7" EP, and a shirt). he appreciated it. crazy thing about the show was that there were honestly about ten people in this venue when they were playing. but in talking to him i told him he should play "the super extended set list version" and he agreed and did haha so i felt like the show was basically for me and my friend. and the other guy who runs some blog/review site that was there for them too. other than that the other people were kinda chillin around the side and bar |
also, shouldnt look past the fact that a lot of Metallica's music really ****ing rocks and their performance would probably be a pretty fun experience. also didnt notice Pendulum was on the line-up, they are amazing, one of my favorite jungle/house/DJ's in general. also would be cool to see: Mindless Self Indulgence, Queens of the Stone Age, Dizzee Rascal.
