I know it's old, but this needs to be posted for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Old, haha. they did that becasue the Germans( ithink) wanted them to play "live" but play to a recorded tape. So the boys decided to have a little fun.
Ahh they are keyboards arnet they? For some reason i always had the thought that they were bagpipes. They sounds like that to me :(
Those keyboards are the closest maiden has gotten to cheesy though.
lol, they sound NOTHING like Bagpipes :p.

And trust me I know.

Bagpiping ftw.

But, tbh, if Maiden had a good bagpiper or two for a song, they could deffinatly do something insane.

Old, but it never gets old hehe.
How come Adrian didn't join in on the fun?

LegionsofMarduk 10-20-2006 02:55 PM

Since we're posting videos...here's one from Tuesday's show. Nicko split his bass drum skin so the first couple minutes of the video is Bruce talking. Then it goes into The Longest Day. This is actually one of the better videos I've found of the show. The sound is really good and the video is pretty clear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms05Fhqawb8

I had worked my way almost all the way up fron by that time. When Bruce was talking I was just about 5 feet away from the wall and a little to the right of the stage.

Jharaski 10-20-2006 04:57 PM

Was anyone at the October 13th show? If you noticed someone up front on crutches acting like a douche, that was me. :)

Anyway I liked it a lot. Although it's ridiculous to want to hear all of the classics and nothing new, it's kind of sad that they're not playing awesome songs from albums like Brave New World. Would've made my night if they stuck The Mercenary or the Wicker Man in there someho.

That was a cool video dude. Bruce's rants are one of my favourite parts of seeing Maiden... It's funny seeing such a little guy get so worked up

Yer i'm going on the 22nd. Not sure if thats the last night or not.

wrathchild88 10-21-2006 02:59 PM

I'll be at Earls Court on the 23rd.

In recent news, I played a cover of the Trooper (unrehearsed!) infront of about 30 people on Tuesday. That was the first time I've ever played infront of an audience, and it was great!

Pleaseme 10-21-2006 06:09 PM

Awsome, an excellent first song to play! Yeah I think I'm going to the 22nd, its well annoying cos its not the last night any more, and i couldnt get pit tickets. Grrrrrrr.

the_uber_penguin 10-21-2006 06:58 PM

I'm going on the 23rd.

I'm pretty sure I've got general admission tickets.

Classic. About the 4th time I watched it, and the first time I've noticed how much they changed around.
my opinion:

IRON MAIDEN > ALL OTHERS

i will be attending the two LA shows with quite a few members of the IRON MAIDEN board. DOD is awesome. 4.5/5
Sup guyz

Saw them in Irvine last night from the pit.

Josh 10-23-2006 01:33 PM

i'm seeing them in newcastle on december 17th, can't wait.

HahahitnRun 10-23-2006 03:24 PM

Is it just me or does anyone else find that the band members look much more kick *** now than they did the 80's, especially Adrian.

Josh 10-23-2006 03:25 PM

adrian's put a fair bit of weight on, but him and Steve are my fave members - steve for being amazing on bass, and H for writing awesome songs and riffs.

HahahitnRun 10-23-2006 03:41 PM

hmm, no love for Bruce...

Josh 10-23-2006 03:44 PM

well, he's only the singer :p
although the smith/harris/dickinson songs are quite often my favourites.

Thor 10-23-2006 03:45 PM

The Fallen Angel = some badass ****. :D

Josh 10-23-2006 03:46 PM

one of my favourites from BNW :) awesome track.
i wish it was on Rock In Rio, it rocks so hard.

Thor 10-23-2006 03:47 PM

Yeah, I wish it was on there too. They could take of "Ghost of the Navigator" if you ask me. I never thought that song was all that great.

132WalrusesInMexico 10-23-2006 03:48 PM

Nicko broke a bass drum head when I saw them last week. It was cool.

Josh 10-23-2006 03:50 PM
Nicko broke a bass drum head when I saw them last week. It was cool.
i saw the video on youtube of bruce rambling on for a bit while it was being changed, then the first couple of minutes of The Longest Day.

Thor 10-23-2006 03:52 PM

Breaking bass drum heads, now that's metal. :)

Josh 10-23-2006 03:53 PM

on the first bass kick of The Pilgrim as well, he somehow managed to complete that song, then had to run down to Steve to tell him not to start the next song, according to his diary Steve was really surprised to see Nicko standing next to him

132WalrusesInMexico 10-23-2006 03:54 PM

I'd be suprised too.

pate 10-23-2006 04:11 PM

Nicko's a scary chap.

6stringed 10-23-2006 09:07 PM

Nicko's an awesome chap

Deth 10-23-2006 09:09 PM

Nicko's not scary. I just want to give him a hug.

Not as much as Davey though; no one beats Davey for hugs.

MrConeman 10-23-2006 09:37 PM

Totally, that guy smiles constantly/is a hero of mine.

pate 10-23-2006 10:51 PM

I love Davey's dancing during songs.

the_uber_penguin 10-24-2006 02:05 PM

Yeah. He looks like he should be playing Sidmouth Folk Festival sometimes.*
