T'was the first Maiden album i bought
Ditto, it was pretty much the album that got me into metal. And yeah Wasted Years is awsome, you gotta love Adrian's solo!

ugh, so we are

/crosses fingers for someone to vote Bruce

YDload 12-24-2005 02:40 PM

I voted for Chris Cornell. It's my poll and I said from the beginning that Cornell would be my pick all the way through.

Not that there's anything WRONG with Dickinson winning. I sorta hope he does because it would be neat. But the person who broke the tables with a really long post and the person who quoted him are retarded. Fags.

I had to put them on my ignore list just so I could read this page. Maybe later they will be off, but for now

JamJar 12-24-2005 02:40 PM

Yes Bruce back in the Lead :)

blackthorne 12-24-2005 02:57 PM

i hope bruce wins it would really be .....errr i can't think of a word so ill say 'sick'

EDIT: WE ARE AHEAD BY 2 VOTES!!! ...... we were going so fast and now its been ages since anyone else had posted :( and thus the thread had resumed its original state

Shadius 12-24-2005 03:05 PM

Who's we? Iron Maiden thread posters don't have to vote Bruce. Haha.

I rekon Bruce is maybe my 3rd or 4th Favourite on there, and I really like Iron Maiden.

No way, his voice is totally an alarm bells metal voice. Works fantastic for metal, and styles associated with Iron Maidens, though I don't think Bruce's voice would touch me in a slow, emotional ballad for example.

Great vocalist though, don't get me wrong.

What band is Tony Kakko in?

Blood brothers isn't quite what I was talking about when I said slow emotional ballad, it's a great song though, nonetheless.

Oh, okay, thanks, I've heard Sonata Arctica before.

Indeed, excellent songs.

Lord Abortion 12-24-2005 04:36 PM

Blackthorne, please don't do that again, it's fagged up my browser something rotten.

Wasted Years is up there...It really highlights H and Steve abilities.

Deth 12-24-2005 08:51 PM

I would put Wasted Years near the bottom of my list for that album. I never liked the 'poppier' songs. The Prisoner, Flight Of The Icarus, 2 Minutes, Wasted Years and Can I Play With Madness are all down near the bottom of their respective albums for me.

I for one can't stand "Can I Play with Madness?"

Deth 12-24-2005 09:33 PM

It grew on me, but it's by far one of the weakest tracks by Maiden IMO.

Why in the hell do they play it live when there are songs like Infinite Dreams on that album?

 Brucey's winning the poll!

Don't know. I think they should do more songs from 'Powerslave' or more of anything from 1980-1986. *Sigh* Should've seen the last tour. :upset:

vashts80 12-24-2005 09:44 PM

I want to see Seventh Son of a Seventh Son played on the tour for the next album! And Rime of the Ancient Mariner! And Powerslave! Hehe :D

I'm betting that both Powerslave and Rime will be in the setlist for the next Early Days tour

Deth 12-24-2005 09:47 PM

I believe it's called 'The Golden Years'. I doubt they'll tour for it though because of the new album coming out next year.

I'm hoping for a return of Powerslave to the setlist

Aakon_Keetreh 12-24-2005 10:22 PM

Im gonna send out there new live album, if u want it just add ur email and ill send it to you

I'm pretty sure Nicko said that after they tour for the new album, they'll be doing the next tour for the classic stuff, which I guess it'd be called The Golden Years, like you said.

Lord Abortion 12-25-2005 04:54 AM

Yeah, I don't like wasted years too much either.
Merry Christmas or festive season, depending on what you want to believe.
