Anyone seen Dismember recently? I'm trying to decide if seeing them is worth spending my limited cash on.

Anyway they've been ace everytime I've seen them.

I never liked Dismember but their new album is similar to older stuff if that's what you're worried about.

Down in Melbourne we get some pretty cool bands, mainly bands from Melbourne but still there are some killer acts down here

Your right about us not getting much in the way of internationals here Jondur, but I find plenty of Australian stuff to keep me going.

I've never had more than a passing interest in Dismember, but people have been talking them up. I guess I'll see how I feel about it on the day. I'd go for one of the supports here but I'm seeing them on a better line up in 3 weeks anyway.

Thats mainly cos its one of the best dm albums ever

since sputniks rating are generally a little skewed towards being rated too high, i won't check out an album i haven't heard unless it's at least a 3.9 on sputniks average. so that basically means anything after PfW i won't even bother with

don't see why that's funny. it's as good a scale as any to base how good an album is besides actually hearing it myself. but who has time to actually listen and pass judgment on ever album out there?

It's funny because people on sputnik for the most part have horrible taste in music and you should never base an album you check out on their opinions.

If an album sounds interesting to you and you've heard good things get it, and find some other places besides sputnik to get opinions from.
