Has anyone heard the new Canvas Solaris album?

I just got my order of CD's (12) and it was the first one I listened to. Absolutely brilliant.

Oh, and I'm going to add all of you to MySpace. :) Whether or not you accept is obviously your decision, haha.

I've heard Sublimation, not sure how new it is though, but I love it. 12 CDs? What were the others?

!

New? I didn't know there was one. What's it called and so on?

Jom 02-08-2006 05:20 PM

I don't add random crappy bands to mySpace. One, I rarely use it, and two, I don't want to listen to their crappy music.

Otherwise, mySpace is... uh, nifty or something. I think I spend more time on Facebook (like, a minute a day) moreso than mySpace, though (like, one minute a week).

What is facebook?

Neurotoxin 02-08-2006 05:22 PM

Penumbra Diffuse. It just came out, I believe.

You really must check it out Bartender, because I know you enjoyed Sublimation.

I've been thinking of getting Atavism. I reviewed Mabool, be sure to check it out!

Facebook is sort of like MySpace, but for College/University only.

Jom 02-08-2006 05:28 PM
What is facebook?
It's a site that links college and university students to each other. You sign up with your college/uni e-mail address, and then basically fill out the necessary information. You put a picture, your class schedule, your relationship status, your political views, your favorite movies, music, TV shows, and interests... and some other things. There's a part of it called "The Wall" which is basically the bulletin board on mySpace.

You can look up people by high school and graduating year, which is what a lot of people do to keep in touch. There are birthday reminders and things. It's nice and compact.

I looked up some of my closest friends from my old cities (before I moved). It's cool to catch up with them after many years, even if it's electronically.

Thats why I created a myspace account. Im going to keep it because I have friends who are younger than me also.

What year are you in?

Have they all learned about thirty new instruments, again?

I'm looking into ordering it now anyway. Thanks for making me aware of it.

Thats what I did with myspace.

My CD ripper is finally ripping CDs fast

Tyler 02-08-2006 05:33 PM

I did that too on MySpace. It's still not letting me log in!

Login is temporarily disabled while we fix some database problems. We'll be back shortly. 2/8/2006

It's been saying that since around 2, it's 6:36 now.

Mine rips quite slow, probably around 4x.

When I had Musicmatch Plus I remember really, really fast burning.

I miss it.

Jom 02-08-2006 05:44 PM

I can show you guys a screenshot of Facebook, if you want, but it's going to be mostly whited-out and all that, heh. The description I gave should give you a good enough idea, anyway.

With mySpace, it just seems like millions of people are on it, as opposed to Facebook, where the population is restricted.

Yes, but you must admit myspace is much cooler....

Mine will rip fast sometimes, and rip slow other times. I caught it on good day so I'm going to rip as much as possible.

Jom 02-08-2006 05:50 PM
Yes, but you must admit myspace is much cooler....
I don't get the appeal of it, really. At least hundreds of crappy bands don't try to friend me on it. Sure, mySpace has some good qualities, such as... well, I'm sure there are some, just like Facebook does... but it's nice to not be inundated with annoying friend requests from bands that suck.

And my Musicmatch burner is starting to rip slowly all of a sudden... now, I use iTunes, which gives me 16x about.

Shadows 02-08-2006 05:54 PM

I don't mean to change the subject here (not that I know anything about myspace or facebook :p) but what do you all think of my new avatar?

TojesDolan 02-08-2006 05:56 PM

mmm nice. I use DBpoweramp mostly, but as I rarely am on a rush to burn/rip, I can wait patiently until it finishes.

Like all the classical music I've been ripping lately. Chopin is soooo heavy metal.

Tyler 02-08-2006 05:56 PM

SF, did you ever get around to checking out that Orphaned Land album?

Shadows 02-08-2006 05:59 PM

I have the album but I haven't given it a listen yet. Will do ASAP.

If I only rip on CD I can wait but I want to rip my whole CD collection and put it on my MP3 player.

I have been meaning to pick up some Mozart, Fernando SOr, and Ferdinando Carulli.

Tyler 02-08-2006 06:05 PM

I rip at like 17x speed, it's pretty badass.

i am the robots 02-08-2006 06:09 PM

I almost always use iTunes... in all other cases I use WinAmp.

gmoneyguy 02-08-2006 06:12 PM

I dont really like to pay to rip CDs.

That's why we have serials.ws (really spyware infested, but good for finding cd-keys) :thumb:.

I wouldn't dare open that site in Internet Explorer.

Opeth tickets just came in the mail Wo0t W0ot:thumb:
