Little Man being Erased 05-11-2006 04:56 PM

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I have Domestica on my other computer and I've never listened to it. But now that computer has some sort of problem and it won't start up. Oh what a conundrum. :(

I'm digging Bows + Arrows by the Walkmen at the moment. This is an album that I enjoy but I never really got into it all that much. And because of that I barely listen to it. "The Rat" and "Little House of Savages" are definitely awesome.
Domestica is so much better than TUO it is ridiculous.
Zappa 05-12-2006 07:28 PM

So I got St. Elsewhere and Yes, Virginia (Dresden Dolls) today. The former is as good as I remembered when I listened to it once on mp3. The latter is realllllly inconsistent to my ears, but some of its high points match up well with the stuff on their first record.

NineBitFable 05-12-2006 08:57 PM

Talking Heads- Remain in Light
Maximo Park- Apply Some Pressure

I'm currently obsessed with these two cds.

Hot Snakes - Peel Sessions
Black Mountain - Druganaut EP
Can - Soon Over Babaluma
High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings

I'm starting to dig heavy again, thus explaining the HoF.

Dog 05-12-2006 10:36 PM

All of my diggage for today and most of yesterday has been Trompe Le Monde and a lot of Ween.

Zappa 05-12-2006 11:59 PM

Played Pink Flag and Chairs Missing by Wire basically back to back tonight. I'm not sure that everyone here knows how much I admire the music this band made.

I saw them live on some TV show a few days ago and they weren't very good. Is the album any better?

Anxious 05-13-2006 11:12 AM

I can't go a week without listening to We're Only in it for the Money.

Robert Crumb 05-13-2006 12:23 PM
I saw them live on some TV show a few days ago and they weren't very good. Is the album any better?
It's so sugary, it could make a hummingbird gag. But some songs are pretty catchy, even if they are disposable. Having never seen them on TV, I'd really think they'd be better live than on album really. Or at least nice to look at.
