Requiem still wasn't as good as Pi.
Yeah, I'd agree as well. While I enjoyed Requiem, Pi was a more intriguing movie overall. |
I read the first 200 pages of Requiem in about two days, but I've been reading the remainder painfully slowly.
|
I just started reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. I'm looking forward to continuing.
|
I'm reading in a book written in the 1850's, the old language reads so slowly. It's about the Dutch colonisation in Indonesia. Basically a complaint against the inhumane practices over there.
I'll never finish it. But I have to! NP: Elvis Costello - Oliver's Army <3 |
Just got back from seeing Jarhead. Pretty good, I must say.
I'm reading Please Kill Me right now, it's quite intriguing. np: Johnny Cash - Ring Of Fire |
I finally finished A Clockwork Orange today, pretty good.
And now I start On the Road, by Jack Kerouac. |
Please tell me you're kidding.
Not at all. Pi's plot was far better. I think it was a lot creepier too, actually. |

That's the next book we have to read in my AP English class. |
That's the next book we have to read in my AP English class.
Nice, he's a great author. Have you read The Virgin Suicides? |
I'm reading about 4 things at once. It's really bad.
|
That can't be good for your brain.
|
Right now I'm reading The Illiad for English II Honors.
np: Frank Zappa - Catholic Girls (Live on from Cheap Thrills) |
Not really.
I just started The Da Vinci Code on strict orders from basically everyone I know. On top of that, there's the John Peel biography A Life In Music, George Orwell's Down & Out In Paris & London, and on top of those there's my reading for uni, which amounts to three different books that all encourage you to think far too hard about pop music. |
I saw Natural Born Killers and thought for the most part that it was stupid. Even I have my limits as far as "artsy" movies go!
But I like how they used RATM in the prison break scene :) |
I've been meaning to read The Da Vinci Code for a while now. I'd like to read more of Orwell's work too.
|
Dan Brown is going to literary hell.
Orwell is good though. |
Yeah, I've heard his (Brown) other books are basically crap, but I'd still like to read The Da Vinci Code.
|
He doesn't develop his characters well.
|
But the story could still be interesting.
|
I just found out Gwar's coming to Vancouver, but they're coming to a bar, so I wouldn't be able to go :(
|
I just found out Gwar are still a band.
Dammit. |

Funniest post this week. |

You can have my copy of Da Vinci, i got it for free. I was going to sell it. |
Has anyone read Huxley's Brave New World. I've been meaning to get that one. That and A Clockwork Orange are the two at the top of my to read list.
EDIT: Pi is an excellent film, I haven't seen Requiem yet |
Just got back from DFA 1979, QoTSA and NIN.
All were good. Josh is the baddest mother fucker ever. Totally cussed the shit out of some NIN fan who was booing them. |
I have an mp3 of him talking to some guy in a crowd who was trying to start a fight. It ends with Josh telling him he'll fuck him in the ***, and to go to a gay bar.

Yeah, he basically stopped No One Knows in this extended solo, and just talked about how the guy's mustache was a **** broom and it just swept dick right in. Then he spent about ten minutes talking about how he fucked his mom, and etc. I was laughing for so long. |
I hate being sick, right now I'm taking Robotussin and some Ibuprofin. The only good thing is I missed school and practice. Anyone else been sick lately?
EDIT: There has been some good cartoons on though while I've been home. I saw Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers and the Rugrats just came on. Not a fan of them which is why I dragged myself over to the computer. |
I've had a stupid head cold for like three days.
|
I'm never sick. I think I have Jedi powers.
|
My girlfriend is sick pretty much every day of her life. Honestly, there is always something wrong with her.
My theory is she's just a pussy. In ways more than one, amirite? |
That's a terrible thing to say.
|
My girlfriend smells like other boys. I think she should stop going out to buy that aftershave...
|
That's a terrible thing to say.
Heh, I know. I'm just kiddin' around. |
Right on.
I hate it when the only people that have the album you're trying to download aren't online. |
My girlfriend smells like other boys. I think she should stop going out to buy that aftershave...
Maybe it has nothing to do with the aftershave. |
Are you insisting she...minues the s?
|
I have a doctor's appointment today and a bunch of spare blocks, so hurrah for not even going to school!
|
Are you insisting she...minues the s?
Either that, or she smells like other boys for a reason. |
