I have found a very punky metallica instrumental. Unreleased, very rare.
Heard that before, and dunno if it's metallica. But I've heard some other stuff, unreleased, with James singing, so this might be Metallica.

The snare on st anger sounds like shit and the snare on kill em all is good, dont know whats so similar about that though.

Westy 02-27-2005 06:27 AM

how many days did it take to record the album compared to others ... (dont count james' absence which stopped recording) .... and lars is a good drummer ... i dont like his personality ... his snare is just stuffed and the producers could have fixed that up easily ...

Six Foot Revolver 02-27-2005 06:32 AM

He isn't anything special though

LarsAgi007 02-27-2005 07:12 AM
Lars is the reason it all started. So, hating him is a bit rude. He might be a wanker but who cares unless he writes good music???

And so many people said that Lars is a bad drummer. He might be one (I don't know, I play geeeeetar) but people have to realise that compared to other drummers he's also a very good composer. And he's been fronting the band since day one.

So, those who insult him.........PLEASE DIE !
I liked the last line of that but i couldn't help but notice near the beginning of your post you can lars a wanker???? lol does that line apply to you??

I know pretty much anything until 'and justice for all' because I didn't liked them after that, with the exception of a few songs.

what happened to metallica? i love their old stuff and some of there stuff off load and re-load, but christ st.anger is terrible

metal_milita 02-27-2005 04:48 PM

Actually I'm a half drummer (used to be a drummer) and I'm sure with a few months more practice, I could play as well as Lars. Lars is nothing special as a drummer, although I do like his sense of music writing. He knows exactly how the drum part should sound, and when it should be highlighted. The drumming in MOP or RTL (songs, not albums) or the double bass on Dyers Eve or FFWF are prime examples.
BTW, you know how it says Lars is always a factor in music writing, does that mean he makes up guitar riffs, or he just offers his opinions about the ones James makes?

coolidgeALL 02-27-2005 04:54 PM

I bought "cunning stunts" for 5 bucks (used vhs) I'm a little late but Metallica rules! (1988 and before obviously.)

I think his additions to the making of a song has more to do with his criticism. Like you said he lets you know what he's thinking 100% of the time. He wont let you have a song that sounds like crap to him.

I found a great website! Go to:
http://passzio.hu/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2087

There are 6 (or 7)pages in the middle of the screen and this is sheet music for Harvester of Sorrow. It's cool that you can get free sheet music.
