I'm not sure about SX3 but the getting started guide for Cubase 4 was one of the best written introductory manuals i've seen on a product, made switching over from Audition take all of a couple hours of getting used to it. And the tome that is the rest of the manual is full of helpful information. Rarely had a question I couldn't answer by looking through that.
Thanks dude.

Lod seems to be getting some of it's community spirit back. This makes me warm in my internet-erogenous zones.

Oh god wtf just ahppened I tried to press ctrl a and I zoomed out wtf lod.

It's okay... youcanuse Things! such as, ellipsis... and COMMAS! to ACCENT, your vocalpatterns.

Sad But True 10-09-2009 04:40 PM

Actually I've found I overuse semicolons far too much. I mean, they're all used correctly, but I probably could restructure the sentence to eliminate the need for it; such is life.

Sup Lod?

I for some reason get a chuckle out of the fact the phone numbers of FSU football players have been circulating around the school and internet. LSU fans are calling them up and annoying them. Trying to get in there heads... oh how I envy people that are in majors which actually allow them free time.

Modern Iconoclast 10-09-2009 11:20 PM

Sup lod. Just listened to the 5.1 mix of Porcupine Tree's "The Incident" for the first time since I got the special edition, **** was epic.

Junooni 10-10-2009 12:08 AM

Well, mateys it's been a good minute since I've posted up here.

http://www.soundclick.com/adnanalam

finally recorded an original work, not sure if i want to write lyrics or do a lead guitar part over the whole track, but the song is pretty much done. lemme know what you think.

running a PRS SE Custom into a PodXT and logic pro, drums are EZdrummer and logic to mix it all down. i wrote the intro riff a couple years back and wrote the rest of it in the studio, start to finish about two hours work on the entire thing. let me know what you guys think

ps- forgot to mention, its all one big first take, you'll hear a couple off notes in there.. hit record and made it up and decided to keep em in there for authenticity's sake.

SBT always ceases to amaze me with his complete lack of computer knowledge, given that he seems to spend most of his time on one.

Left Face Down 10-10-2009 07:41 PM

Looks orange to me, in more important news how is the TZ in the neck? I never really thought of putting it there, though I have had thoughts of throwing an Air Norton in the bridge to see how it would sound.

Blue_Moon 10-10-2009 07:51 PM

i cuda scored a 56 year old woman today :|

Left Face Down 10-10-2009 08:03 PM

TZ in the neck is quite a unique sound. Super fat sound like motor boatin double G's fat, but still retaining that open wah sound that makes it such an awesome bridge pickup.

I cannot stop playing this guitar.

Blue_Moon 10-10-2009 08:19 PM

she was super nice and good lookin for an oldie!!! lmao ooooh kinda wish i done something she'd be mad for it lmao

Left Face Down 10-10-2009 10:55 PM

I hear all the drunk people outside, not celebrating a victory but still enjoying the night with beer and friends. My beer is sunkist, and my friends are school books. That and for some reason I developed this massive head ache about 10 minutes ago, thinking about just taking some tylenol and going to sleep. I've just got so much crap to study for Monday.

Sad But True 10-11-2009 05:07 AM

Afternoon Lod. Student loan still hasn't materialised; stupid bloody student loans company.

Dunno really mate, anywhere but here generally. Just have better/more important things to be doing, so I was away for months, then popped back only posting here a couple of times, the UK thread and the weightlifting thread.

I'm doing a PGCE in york atm. You still at uni?

Going be a teacher? Me too. :D

Technically I've only started uni this year, like, 3 weeks ago. I'm at Keele doing English and history.

Squirrel 10-11-2009 08:46 AM

So youre gonna do a PGCE after?

What Uni are you at?

just started, i thought you were like 21?

Sad But True 10-11-2009 09:03 AM
So youre gonna do a PGCE after?

Yep.

Keele.

I am.

Started doing 3 a levels, finished one, dropped the other 2 to do a music course, which turned out to be shit, so I left it, leaving me with one A level (in English). Worked for a couple years, did a load of gigging with my band, then started a night school course to get me into uni, finished that in January, and here I am.

Squirrel 10-11-2009 09:12 AM

Good stuff, so the peej is a long way off then.

Sad But True 10-11-2009 10:21 AM

Yeah, but they do it at Keele, so that's good. Is it a standardised course, or do you take one specific to what you're going to teach?

Squirrel 10-11-2009 10:28 AM

Both; you have Whole School Issues (WSI) which covers planning, behaviour, social issues etc; and Curriculum Area (CA) sessions which are specific to your course; how to teach it, why you teach it etc.

It's intense as ****.

I'd advise doing your PGCE at somewhere that isn't where you got your undergraduate degree.

Sad But True 10-11-2009 10:46 AM

Why's that?

Squirrel 10-11-2009 11:04 AM

Looks far better on your CV to move around.

And you should try going somehwere better than Keele if you can.

And why would you want to stay in the same place?
