Now that you know how torrents work, you should use them to get music thats a little less ungodly boring as dream theater.
Might I suggest: The Silver Jews Cold War Kids New animal photographsographers. M. Ward Elliott Smith Milt Jackson Medeski Martin & Wood Béla Fleck Victor Wooten (Live in America) The Flaming Lips
what genre is all of this? im looking for some good metal bands, but am open to all suggestions. |
what genre is all of this?
im looking for some good metal bands, but am open to all suggestions.
Well, if you're looking for good music that is also metal, you aren't going to have any luck at all to be honest, unless you download Iron Maiden's 'Number of the Beast' \m/ Flaming Lips are kinda experimental psych rock. M. Ward is an orgasmic indie/folk singer. Elliott Smith is literally fucking Jesus. He died for our sins. Jesus died on a cross? Psh, pussy. Elliott stabbed himself with a steak knife. The New Pornographers and Cold War kids are both kind of upbeat rocky poppy 'indie'. Cold War Kids have a lot more piano. Milt Jackson is a vibraphone player who was buds with Miles Davis. All of his stuff with Ray Brown is wonderful rhythm section jazz stuff. |
The Red Chord is sorta like prog.
|
And whats the deal with black people?!

123
What do you have against Milt Jackson and Victor Wooten? |
wtf, thrash?
|
I find Victor Wooten a bit wanky/cheesy as far as virtuoso bassists go, my roommate really likes him though. I prefer Marcus Miller.
I prefer Gary Burton, Stefon Harris, Steve Nelson to Milt.
Oh, I absolutely love Marcus Miller, and although Wooten is wanky and cheesy (I 100% agree), he is incredibly entertaining. The last track off of live in America is superb. If I want a virtuoso bassist, I'll listen to Jaco's invitation album, but Wootens stuff is just really fun and chill. Gary Burton is good and all, but I find a lot of his stuff kind of boring. Like Minds was pretty good though. |
If you want good metal download gordian knots two albums.
Thats all you really need tbh. |
Slipknot!

Psh, slightly confuzzled sea lion. Elliott stabbed himself with a steak knife. The New animal photographsographers and Cold War kids are both kind of upbeat rocky poppy 'indie'.
