Hmm, I wonder why I never actually downloaded the tracks. I just remember always streaming them... *Shrugs*
Maybe you're just silly :p

NineBitFable 11-23-2004 06:56 PM

The Singles from ...And you will know us by the Trail of Dead's new cd (They = rox)
And Fall of Troy's EP, which I got yesterday after... 3 weeks, (They also = rox)
And finally, Cream.

DanceToAllTheWrongSongs 11-23-2004 07:35 PM

murder by death and cursive is definitely what I've been digging lately. Spectacular bands if you haven't heard any of their music :thumb:

RIPJoeStrummer 11-23-2004 08:25 PM

I've been diggin' Simon and Garfunkel and Grandaddy for the past week.

Luxor 11-23-2004 09:28 PM

I've discovered the greatness that lies within Neil Young.

songster 11-23-2004 09:34 PM

I just found the raddest, most obscure band ever last night. They a re called "The Kills" and are made up of a chick from Florida and a guy from London. They are awesome and I love their song "Cat Claw". They probably won't catch on in mainstream circles (not that that is always the determinant of a great band) but you should check 'em out at www.thekills.tv

Stinko Man 11-23-2004 10:49 PM

I've been listening to Ima Robot, The Faint, The Mars Volta and The Flaming Lips lately.

biografiend 11-23-2004 11:07 PM
There used to be an awesome site where you could stream every single one of their albums. The guy shut it down though, because the RIAA scared him.
refl. im starting to think amnesiac is quite an underrated album.

Yeah they're pretty well known. Not obscure at all.

Good band though.

Hell yes!

br3ad_man 11-24-2004 01:47 AM

I got Sketches Of Spain today. Other than that, I've mainly been listening to David Gray and Isis.

YDload 11-24-2004 01:56 AM

I found a video of ATDI playing "Pattern Against User" live at some concert called Big Day Out. Before the song, Cedric said it was dedicated to The Fall, and if anyone didn't know who they were, they should "Stop listening to so much hip-hop and heavy metal."

Weird comment from the guy who ended up working with Handsome Boy Modeling School AND Rick Rubin, but funny note: his talking voice sounds like his ATDI shouting voice.

I have that video, and the guitarist tells everyone not to 'fuc king crowd surf' or something? The BDO is a festival in Australia, a bloody good one too, and ATDI came in 2001, and because they are opposed to crowd surfing they walked off after about five songs

Tangy zizzle 11-24-2004 03:13 AM

The Fall > ATD-I

asymm 11-24-2004 04:45 AM

I found my ZZ Top Greatest Hits cd, I forgot how good it is!

br3ad_man 11-24-2004 05:24 AM

ZZ Top rule! My dad would look like one of them if he never got his beard cut.

Interstate 11-24-2004 05:42 AM
ZZ Top rule! My dad would look like one of them if he never got his beard cut.
They do indeed  It would take me years to grow beard like that!

Tapeworm 11-24-2004 08:59 AM

I just saw Little Birdy and Eskimo Joe. They were both great, but LB were especially great.

Master Arkam Kannon 11-24-2004 01:20 PM

Lighting Bolt (again)
Lovage
Mojo Nixon
Devo (again)

Iai 11-24-2004 01:46 PM

Today I was mostly digging Public Enemy's Fear Of A Black Planet.

Right now I'm listening to the copy of Let It Be (Beatles, not Replacements) I got from my college library. I'm really not impressed.

Master Arkam Kannon 11-24-2004 02:45 PM

yeah, i never found Let It Be to be all that exciting, cept for a few good tracks, its just lacking of something.

Iai 11-24-2004 02:53 PM

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel.

Now I'm checking The Smiths' self-titled debut. Much better.

br3ad_man 11-24-2004 04:59 PM

I downloaded some Sigur Ros videos last night and now I'm obsessed again.

Zappa 11-24-2004 05:02 PM

I'm listening to DIllinger Escape Plan trying to grasp why people in my jazz forum are saying that they have jazz elements. I'm tired of people mistaking "odd time signatures" for "jazz." It's not even close to the same thing.

However, DEP aren't a bad band.

Iris 11-24-2004 05:27 PM

I've heard that DEP has Blues elements, but never Jazz.

Tomahawk 11-24-2004 05:58 PM

Let It Be is ok... Across the Universe is one of my favourite songs ever.

Zappa 11-24-2004 07:11 PM

Digging some old Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass 45''s that I found in the basement.

Happymeal 11-24-2004 07:53 PM

I'm playing U2 - Electrical Storm for the 50th time today. Love that song.

biografiend 11-24-2004 10:38 PM
I downloaded some Sigur Ros videos last night and now I'm obsessed again.
the video to untitled #1 always makes me teary eyed.

Tangy zizzle 11-24-2004 11:27 PM

I've been diggin' ditches... no seriously.

All I seem to listen to these days is TV On The Radio, Hot Snakes, Weezer and JSBX.

Meh.

Well_Respected_Man 11-25-2004 12:45 AM

I'm really into Colin Newman's solo stuff right now. I wasn't expecting much from a solo artist.

Tangy zizzle 11-25-2004 01:03 AM

who that is?

Well_Respected_Man 11-25-2004 01:07 AM

Singer/ songwriter from WIRE.

enjoy_cai 11-25-2004 01:12 AM

Tangy zizzle 11-25-2004 02:02 AM
Singer/ songwriter from WIRE.
I knew I recognised the name.

Is it Wire-ish?

Tangy zizzle 11-25-2004 03:10 AM

Brainiac are my extra terrestrial guides.

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 04:00 AM

"Funeral" by The Arcade Fire is absolute gold. I listened to Moby a bit today as well.
