Come on, don't just judge the guy for this one movie!....
Im not i've seen all his movies man, you wanna talk about an overrated director the guy sucks!

Jezen 07-22-2005 02:06 PM

Yeah. I think thats Disney's problem. They remake too many classics and whore the money from kids. Winnie the Pooh being a prime example. You know they are bringing out a NEW Cinderella animation! Its just ridiculous.

Voodoo Rabbit 07-22-2005 02:07 PM

Voodoo Rabbit 07-22-2005 02:08 PM

Why can't people learn!....
Sorry! - I'm not trying to be bulshy or change anyone's opinion (Just that I should clear that up)....

Double Bass Jim 07-22-2005 02:10 PM

It's strictly profit deal, he should be ashamed of himself for trying to re-make a classic like that. Go watch the original that came out in 71', thats one of the most classic movies in american history. Brilliant songs, cast and acting. Now they try and do a re-make for what? Other then some arrogant attempt to make money off the name and story.

Jezen 07-22-2005 02:12 PM

I downloaded 'Not Another Teen Movie' this morning, just cause I hadn't seen it in a while. Haha its hilarious.

Voodoo Rabbit 07-22-2005 02:14 PM

I've seen the original, but have not seen all the film that Tim Burton has done....So probably shouldn't be saying anything....
But that was my point - Don't re-make a classic!....
Maybe he's getting to power heavy, what with all his new films coming out, and the previous 'success' of his older films?....

Seafroggys 07-22-2005 02:14 PM

Yeah, with Disney's sequels that are straight to video. THose things are so bad.

Voodoo Rabbit 07-22-2005 02:16 PM

*Trying not to start an argument* - Does anyone know if they made a movie from the Game 'Metal Gear Solid?....'?....:(.....

Tim 07-22-2005 02:20 PM
When I first saw the preview I couldnt beleive it, tim burtons a piece of crap.
HAHAHAHA. yea seriously wahts up with all the asses trying to remake movies now. not just movies but classics. The thing that really pisses me off is that pearl harbor movie they turned it in to a stupid love story. It was more what went on in their effin relationship than historical facts which is what a lot of people really wanted to see. I could go on about stupid movies like this but i wont.

Plan B. 07-22-2005 02:24 PM

Reeeeeeeelax bitches, it's gunna be a sick movie.

I wanna see it.

Tim 07-22-2005 02:27 PM

it may be an ok movie but its not gonan be as good as the orignal. no way.

Ill Mitch 07-22-2005 02:30 PM

I think Johhny Depp is the only thing thats gonna make it a good movie, oh and Tim Burtons scenery aswell.

thats like "titanic" by spielberg. "i'll ignore the fact that all these people died, and focus only on the relationship of these 2 people. that's what everyone who goes to a movie named after the ship that sunk want to see."

How dare you compare those two together!

Stephen Spielberg is probably the greatest director ever!

James Cameron made Titanic, but he has made some kickass movies (True Lies, T1 and 2, ALiens).

Japan3gro 07-22-2005 03:06 PM

So Charlie and the Chocolate Factory turned out to be ok. I thought Johnny did a great job, and the scenery was fantastic, but the jokes were mainly aimed at kids and the songs sucked major ass.

osiecki 07-22-2005 10:42 PM

What are you kidding me man?

Solid snake, snake plissken?

Same low gruff voice, same unshaven beaten up look. War hero rouge attitude? Their pretty much IDENTICLE man. The creator of metal gear has stated how big of a fan he was of escape, the plissken character inspired snake as well as the other characters in the game.

Jezen 07-22-2005 11:41 PM

Well its probably been too long since I have played MGS but to me Snake didn't seem like a beaten up war veteran. Your description of Plissken was perfect however.

Double Bass Jim 07-22-2005 11:45 PM

In the second one snake even uses a code name "plissken" as a nod to the movie influence.
