theres no such thing as Christian Metal. Christian and Metal are two completely diff genres. calling something christian metal is like calling something jazz metal. there both totally different.
Ok thanks for that. Now kindly leave because we don't care how "metal" you are and how Christians are "bad people cuz of the crusades lol".

BleepBoop 08-01-2007 04:30 PM

its like those songs they show in the compilation tv commercials with I Can Sing Of Your Love Forever.
its like those songs they show in the compilation tv commercials with I Can Sing Of Your Love Forever.
That's gospel or Christian soft rock you dumb fuck. The Christian denotes the lyrical content/message not the general sound of the music. Knob.

Tyler 08-01-2007 04:31 PM

Christian standards could probably be considered a genre, but stylistically "Christian" would just be a modifier or a non-genre related way of classifying things.

I do agree that Jazz-Metal is a ridiculously lame idea though.
OH NO YOU DIDNT

yeah, Alex joined BTA last year, actually. Aletheian's been a band for like 9 years and just now got signed to Ironclad. Alex was talking to me at Cornerstone about getting my band on at Metal Blade but I'm sure that won't happen.

The production on their latest CD, Dying Vine, is much better, by the way.
ill check Dying Vine out, thanks.

That's the most retarded thing I've heard today. Even moreso than ENC's ramblings. I'm not even going to touch that because you made me lose more brain cells with that post than THC.
ill check Dying Vine out, thanks.
Hey, if you have soulseek, just hit mine up. Search for trev_wfof and browse around my files, I've got it in there somewhere.

Berner 08-01-2007 04:33 PM
I do agree that Jazz-Metal is a ridiculously lame idea though.
You'd be better terming that as Jazz metal fusion.

Why, because most metal is sooo "anti-christian"? We must be missing your point hard because you make no sense.

Tyler 08-01-2007 04:39 PM

I'm not missing his point, I'm just refusing to acknowledge it as a valid one.

BleepBoop 08-01-2007 04:40 PM
anti christian is the consept metal was founded upon.

ever heard of a little band called black sabbath?
Did you not know that all of the original members of Black Sabbath are Christian? Hey thanks for playing, now leave.

BleepBoop 08-01-2007 04:42 PM
Ever realize the members of Black Sabbath were Christian?
not really. if they were they wouldn't write songs like black sabbath.

"satan laughing spreads his wings".

nothing like that in I Could Sing of Your Love Forever.

No, they're definitely Christians. Dio is also Christian. You can write lyrics about Satan and still be Christian.

Proof? The Bible.

Berner 08-01-2007 04:44 PM

Holy piss you have to be a gimmick account. No new user is this dense.

Shred Danson 08-01-2007 04:44 PM

Uh, you do realize they weren't really writing those lyrics to be anti-christian, right?

BleepBoop 08-01-2007 04:45 PM

someone told me once that Satan is never directly mentioned in the bible, that he was first introduced by John Milton. and it was a smart person so im assuming they're right and you're wrong.

Tyler 08-01-2007 04:45 PM
someone told me once that Satan is never directly mentioned in the bible, that he was first introduced by John Milton. and it was a smart person so im assuming they're right and you're wrong.
he's not mentioned by name but he's still in there.

John Milton actually crafted the main story and the imagery most people are familiar with. Thanks for playing though.

Shred Danson 08-01-2007 04:46 PM

...What the fuck does that have to do with Black Sabbath and Christian metal?

BleepBoop 08-01-2007 04:50 PM

all of this means a lot from someone with jesus as their profile picture.

Berner 08-01-2007 04:50 PM
all of this means a lot from someone with jesus as their profile picture.
Gimmick. This has to be a gimmick.

Tojes, please figure out if this guy is. kthx.
all of this means a lot from someone with jesus as their profile picture.
PRAAAAAAAAAISE THE LORD.

you're a tool. I just thought the picture was funny. I'm not a Christian...I'm not anything. I'm just interested in it all.

illpressureurhinges1 08-01-2007 04:54 PM

thats kinda deceiving...

Tyler 08-01-2007 04:55 PM
thats kinda deceiving...
What is? You honestly take an extremely muscular drawing of Jesus to be a literal representation?

If I was going to put a fair depiction of Jesus up he wouldn't be a ripped white dude.

illpressureurhinges1 08-01-2007 05:02 PM

no, but it could mean that u think that he is extremely powerful and that putting him up on a cross was no match for his power.

Tyler 08-01-2007 05:03 PM
no, but it could mean that u think that he is extremely powerful and that putting him up on a cross was no match for his power.
Or I could think it's a hilarious exaggeration of an already misconstrued famous image. Iono.

illpressureurhinges1 08-01-2007 05:09 PM

Iono either... i guess its just ppl perceive things differently then... wat a concept!

bwnstl 08-01-2007 07:01 PM

I find it an amusing coincidence that the Christian R&M thread has the highest density of utter moron-posters than any other thread.
I find it an amusing coincidence that the Christian R&M thread has the highest density of utter moron-posters than any other thread.
More than the black metal thread, even? Just kidding, that's pretty much the only good thread in here since my grind thread died.

Tyler 08-03-2007 12:57 AM

I want to get down on my knees and start pleasing jesus
i want to feel his salvation all over my face
