I wanna check those guys out.

Eliminator 02-15-2007 10:33 AM

I had a dream last night that I bought a bunch of ACxDC shit in a store.

RetiredAt21 02-15-2007 10:40 AM

ACxDC rules.

Definately weird as hell.

Are HeWhoCorrupts powerviolence?

I don't have a clue about the genre so that's why I'm asking.

Aus Rotten 02-15-2007 03:38 PM

HeWhoCorrupts is like a hardcore/powerviolence band, kind of tough to classify i'd say. But, HeWhoCorrupts definately rips really hard. If you like HeWhoCorrupts, check out "Kung-Fu Rick" -- HWC is made up primarily of Kung-Fu Rick Members. In my opinion, I dig Kung-Fu Rick more than HeWhoCorrupts. If you want, i'll megaupload lots of Kung-Fu Rick later.

Aus Rotten 02-15-2007 03:39 PM

Oh, and this is easily the best video i've ever seen.

That's cool as hell.

Times Ten 02-15-2007 07:42 PM

I think Apartment 213 is pretty lame. Wasn't into it when I heard it.

Hewhocorrupts, however, are great and yeah, that video is hilarious.

RetiredAt21 02-15-2007 07:51 PM

Master of Profits is such a good song.

IgniteYourAvail 02-15-2007 07:59 PM

I love the bass break.

I agree one some levels. I do think some of the stuff is just mediocre at best, and some of the other stuff is flat out boring. Like I said, they're good, but definately don't rip.

whiteminority 02-16-2007 07:21 AM

Is anyone pre-ordering The Discographer by HeWhoCorrupts?

RetiredAt21 02-16-2007 07:46 AM

I can't find any Apartment 213.

Seriously, get it ASAP! And why pre-order, wasn't it released three years ago?

Check http://www.scenecred.com/sc009.html for the tracklist.. Awesome songtitles :) "My Unbearable Battle with Keyboard Semen" and more.

P.S. The live tracks are br00tal

RetiredAt21 02-16-2007 11:11 AM

Hahahaha, keyboard semen.

My favorite song title as well! F'ucking brilliant!

I would upload some Apartment 213, but I just have their stuff on vinyl, so I didn't bother putting it on my computer as well. Sorry sir. But, as a make-up, i'll upload some Kung-Fu Rick in a minute, since everyone seems to dig HeWhoCorrupts. Personally, I like Kung-Fu Rick slightly better than HeWhoCorrupts anyways.

RetiredAt21 02-16-2007 01:49 PM

Sweet. I can't wait to check out Kung-Fu Rick, because HeWhoCorrupts rules.

Aus Rotten 02-16-2007 02:01 PM

Kung-Fu Rick -- just various songs i've managed to snag. Personal favorites: "Smoke Stacks/Panic Attacks" and "1000 Knuckles Rubbing".

Crossed-Out is f'ucking awesome. They're split 5" with Dropdead was f'ucking brutal. Amazing how a band that only played 13 (I think? or 19?) live shows, became so popular, and are regarded as one of the firsts to be regarded as a powerviolence band.

Yeah, Crossed Out tend to be a staple band for the powerviolence genre.

Hijack from the Hardcore forum: New Magrudergrind tracks are up on their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/magrudergrind

Who is f'ucking psyched on their new LP is set to release April 10th? Based on the new myspace tracks from the LP, this LP sounds a lot like their Demo/older Magrudergrind. Mough does more vocal work I think, and provides a sick contrast between his deep grunting and Avi's high-pitched screams. This album is going to be killer methinks!

RetiredAt21 02-21-2007 07:12 PM

The new Magrudergrind rules.

Death_or_Glory 02-22-2007 03:39 PM

I'm really excited for the new Magrudergrind, they're one of the few powerviolence bands I really like. Any recommendations for bands similar to Margrudergrind?

RetiredAt21 02-22-2007 06:13 PM

Check out Sylvester Staline, they rule.

Aus Rotten 02-22-2007 06:31 PM

Truth, Sylvester Staline or check out A Warm Gun. A Warm Gun is Mough's (plays guitar for Magrudergrind) band. He does vocals for A Warm Gun, not guitar works.

RetiredAt21 02-22-2007 07:31 PM

A Warm Gun, eh? Never heard of them, I'll check them out after I'm done smoking a bowl.

:smoke:

Death_or_Glory 02-24-2007 12:23 PM

Thanks for the recomendations. I thought that Sylvester Staline was ok, and I really liked A Warm Gun.

Aus Rotten 02-25-2007 01:37 PM

Ok?! Daymn! Get "We'll Spread Hard Drugs To Your Stupid Kids From The Royalties Of This CD" -- album is seriously top-notch.

Best name of an album, ever.

powerplant 02-28-2007 04:06 PM

I can't get enough of power-violence ever! My all time favorites would have to be spazz, crossed out, man is the bastard, **** on the beach, bathrub shitter, gnob, combatwoundedveteran and a local band called judge dread! ( http://www.myspace.com/judgedread709 )

Judge Dread is an old ska band I believe! What a rip-off! I laughed so hard at the "bathrub" s'hitter mispelling. aww!

I don't even know why I replied to this post, I think it was just a shameless plug... :upset:

powerplant 02-28-2007 05:03 PM

judge dread was some guy that did ska, but he died a while ago. and it's not really a shameless plug considering i'm not in the band, they are actually one of my favorite bands so i decided to let everyone hear them!

i always type bathrub by accident, hahaha, i don't know why.

RetiredAt21 02-28-2007 08:30 PM

Hahahaha, I like Bathrub Shitter alot.

Times Ten 02-28-2007 08:43 PM
The new Magrudergrind rules.
It was alright. Not enough eardrum piercing, glass shattering screams though. I'll wait until it is realeased to say more. Definately do not want to sell them short. Magrudergrind is one of my favorite bands ever.

Aus Rotten 03-01-2007 12:13 AM

True, that's only two songs though. Like I stated previously, Mough does a lot more vocal work, and the new stuff sounds a lot like their real old stuff.
