Weak diss man.

Zmev 09-24-2006 07:33 PM

I felt bad that no one had reviewed I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your *** that I did it myself.

2nd review in 3 days.

Anxious 09-24-2006 07:38 PM

So today I was driving with my Dad somewhere and he says "Look over there, thats where Frank Zappa's studio used to be". So I look and its now Jiffy Lube. Intresting.

sexymuffin 09-24-2006 08:02 PM

actually, little known fact, frank zappa preffered jiffy lubes over conventional studios due to the excellent prices and friendly employees.

Eliminator 09-24-2006 08:03 PM

penzoil never really got over that

:(

ATM 09-24-2006 08:17 PM

How'd you like the festival sexymuffin? I had a damn good time.

Eliminator 09-24-2006 08:18 PM

Wasn't it awesome when Wayne Coyne smashed his guitar and lit it on fire?

pulseczar 09-24-2006 08:43 PM

How were the New Pornographers?

sexymuffin 09-24-2006 08:56 PM

superb. The harmonies were all spot on and they went through their set without any complications.

Little Man being Erased 09-24-2006 11:43 PM

Went to see Talledega Nights last night. It was funny. I laughed.

YDload 09-25-2006 01:00 AM

i saw Roger Waters in concert tonight :)

he played a bunch of PF tunes, including all of DSOTM

also there was an inflatable pig that was being carried around, tethered to the ground by ropes. but it got free and floated away and now it is somewhere over Pittsburgh I would imagine!

How was RJD2 and 2ManyDJ's?

Luxor 09-25-2006 12:16 PM

LOL @ Zappa deleting my posts

Man you're fuckin lame. Go listen to some coltrane with your mom and cry in each others arms.

Anxious 09-25-2006 12:29 PM

I always thought Zappa didn't like Coltrane.

pixiesfanyo 09-25-2006 02:09 PM

Is it just me or does Washer by Slint have one of the best guitar solos ever?

Eliminator 09-25-2006 02:10 PM

I don't remember that song even having a solo.

JonM 09-25-2006 02:17 PM

I love to travel, but I hate the process of getting there.

Eliminator 09-25-2006 02:18 PM

Trip > destination.

Zappa 09-25-2006 02:32 PM
I always thought Zappa didn't like Coltrane.
It's pretty much true. You can't really deny a tune like "Impressions," or even "A Love Supreme" when it's played well, though.

ATM 09-25-2006 03:07 PM

Wierd, there was a big article on EITS in the paper today.

Eliminator 09-25-2006 03:09 PM

What a waste of paper.

:(

ATM 09-25-2006 03:12 PM

If you say so :-D

Glitterati 09-25-2006 04:34 PM

theres a problem with my speakers. sometimes i can only hear out of one speaker, and the other one will only play sound if i adjust the desk a bit. so i can only hear half of my midnight oil.

Eliminator 09-25-2006 04:38 PM

The electronics are probably starting to go out. When speakers/headphones start doing that, it's usually what happens.

Anxious 09-25-2006 04:57 PM

Just buy a 6.1 surround sound receiver and find speakers from random sources. Its what i did, and it made all the difference.

asymm 09-25-2006 05:06 PM

I'm sick and feeling dizzy.

Glitterati 09-25-2006 05:09 PM
I'm sick and feeling dizzy.
pregnant much?

The Great Decay 09-25-2006 06:01 PM

I'm reading Naked Lunch currently, definitely a good read.

sexymuffin 09-25-2006 06:15 PM
How was RJD2 and 2ManyDJ's?
RJD2>>>>>>>>2ManyDJs

for reals

he was crazy with some of the stuff he did. 2manydjs just kind of played records, whereas RJ was an actualy dj you know? 2many was much more intense with their sound, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing.

Zappa 09-25-2006 06:27 PM

What happened to me being universally loved and respected, forum-wide?

Kayetan 09-25-2006 06:47 PM
What happened to me being universally loved and respected, forum-wide?
A friend told me the answer to that once, but I forget it, tbh. I think it began with an "M."

Kayetan 09-25-2006 07:11 PM

It seemed pretty good, but then myspace quit working.

http://www.myspace.com/kayetanrezentes

Tell me what you think of my kind of new, kind of defunct joint.

Kayetan 09-25-2006 07:19 PM

Ha, yeah the lyrics were a test to see if anybody could be too caught up in the serious mood of the music to notice that I was singing about Ronald McDonald. I can't take credit for those lyrics, btw. The lyrics on the other song aren't fake. They kind of suck too though.

But anyway, one of these days, I'm going to pick up some condenser mics and make recording which don't sound crappy.

The Great Decay 09-25-2006 07:46 PM
Naked Lunch rules. I honestly prefer Junky though, it's one of my top 5 books.

I'm going to be reading lots of this stuff over the next couple of months, cuz I'm doing an English assignment on the Beat Generation and its effect on American literature. I hate English so much.
Sober up, english rules. A friend of mine who has a similar taste in literature as myself, told me that the whole of the beatnik generation of authors were bisexual, is this true?

sexymuffin 09-25-2006 07:51 PM

wtf happened to that guy who posted a link to his band, the vanguard party?

i didn't just hallucinate did i?
