I realize our name is stolen from an 80's hardcore band, yes.

Basically, my friends Brett and Connor got together and messed around on Fruit Loops creating random metal/trance stuff. But then we got me on guitar, a hardcore kid to do keyboards, and a drummer who likes the poppier side of punk (Adicts, Mr. T Experience, etc), and some other general rock/mainstream stuff. So we'll either suck, sound like an awesome Bomb the Music Industry type thing, or just make heads explode with our awesome genre clashing. The music on the myspace is just us messing around, so we decided to make Mortal Kombat on Fruit Loops. We're set to play a local open mic night thing, and our set list is really weird (some s'hit metal song called My Mercy, its a cover. A reggae song I wrote called We Will Make it To Zion. A punk thing called God is Dead. And a weird power pop-ballad thing called "Hookah Song"). Either way, it might be interesting.

SactoUnited 03-16-2005 12:40 AM

I havent heard it yet cause myspace is a whore but I usually dont care for black metal.

Brain Toad 03-16-2005 12:46 AM

You have a lot of goth people as your friend hah. I liked your mortal kombat song, the church bells one is kind of gay, and the last song is decent.

SactoUnited 03-16-2005 01:11 AM

I wouldnt picture you in a band like that.

I have a problem. I don't know many people who can play that good except 2. and the lead for their band sucks and has only been playing for a year or so. I saw their band play and the lead will stop right in the middle of a song and play American Idiot. I want to be in the band. how should i get in the band.

Nice job, "First Song" is very catchy in my opinion, but both songs sound very solid though. Put up some songs with some vocals though and give me the full experience :thumb:

Great stuff, the ska song is really good and the other one, first song is really good too. The only comment i would make is you need clearer song structure, but that'll come when you have a vocalist, so yeah, good job.

Thank you.

We have a friend who says he will eventually sing for us, if not our guitarist will. And then we will record with the vocals. We also have a friend who plays trumpet for "Screw You Coca-Cola". Hopefully, we will be recording that soon, too.

I didn't read the whole thread, so I didn't notice if you have a band. If you do, can you post the link again?

TheNowhereman42 03-17-2005 08:03 PM
I wouldnt picture you in a band like that.
Well the thing is now we're a reggae band, scince I wrote 3 reggae songs and a punk one, and those are our only songs.

Like I said it was just two goths I know who started it, but we'll probably shape up, play some shows, put real songs up, re-do the website and change the name, etc etc. Or suck.

And the Mortal Kombat thing is the only song I acctually helped with.

religionisascam 03-17-2005 08:15 PM

Thank you.

Your band is good, too. I love the song "Turn away", it's better than all the covers in my opinion. I can't wait to hear more of your original stuff...

I recommend this band to everyone.

Man.or.Astro-Man 03-26-2005 04:37 PM

IM in a band but I dont have any mp3s and I was wondering if there was any way to transfer your recordings from something like a tape player to the computer? Because if i could do that I'd have some mp3s for yea so please help me out.

(we play grunge/indie type stuff and we're called Vandurah)

Forest_Fire 03-26-2005 04:40 PM

Even if I did know, I wouldn't tell you. Try the Alt. forum.

and to dropkick: It was okay, I guess. If you guys haven't been together long then it was pretty good, but if you have, then it sucked. I wasn't to big on the vocals either

afireinside4848 03-26-2005 06:16 PM
My band has just begun recording some songs, so I decided to make a thread where you can share your bands website, mp3, etc. I guess you can say what genre you are and then link us to your site.

Please only use this thread to post mp3s and such, not to support some local band that you really like, or your friends band. Please only post if you have a website. No one really cares what your bands name is and what kindof music you play if we cannot hear it.

I realize that this is a little hypocritical, but I do not have any mp3s to post at the moment. I will post something as soon as I can.

My band is mainly a pop/punk, post hardcore type of band, but since there are so few people around in my town who want to get into this, we also have a bit of metal in order to let everyone have a say. We are called Think Again.
how can u play pop-punk,it is so stupid,do u want to end up being sellouts?
