why dont you people stop talking about music that you obviously know jack **** about, and start listening to some!!!
Listening to some......? What? Talk? Or you don't know English?
practically every metallica song pre "Load" is either good/or going to teach you something about good metal (atleast at an introductory level).
And who are you to speak? Hammett? I'm sure he'd disagree. Its all a matter of peoples opinion, NOT YOURS. Godamn. You are an idiot.
ps. playing **** from load, reload, st anger is ****ing piss easy to come up with. As a songwriter myself, i have come to the conclusion that Metallica has either become lazy, or has better things to do with it's time than to concentrate on music for large amounts of it's time. Please guys - who cares about having a family, playing good metal is what life is all about
And you are.....? Umm, who to speak? You are speaking on behalf of yourself? Oh right thats what i thought
stop posting rubbish here as well, and dont download metallica songs or lars and james will sure your asses, buy their cd's pussies
The only rubbish posted here, is the post you just made. Die. And fuck off. How about we do what we want, and you do your thing?

Maybe but he didn't make a point, stop making this thread full of pety insults, its just boring.

No one here can actually say anything that is completely correct, no one here is in Metallica maybe NenjuzRul was right, maybe not.

MetallicaRULZ192 11-20-2003 03:59 PM

Very True. I never meant to be boring though, toozey, yet he came off as an asshole, and i can't resist a flame. Maybe he was right, and maybe he is wrong, but to insult us because some of us happen to like post metallica is immature and childish on his part.

bleeding_me77 11-20-2003 04:37 PM

i think that the unforgiven 2 is one of there best songs,
dont get me wrong master of puppets and ridethe llightning are the sickest albums ever made but re-load and load are different.
they werent ment to be as thrash as the good old days. the songs in load and reload "flow" more and the lyrics are really from the inside. it sounds weird but i just think listening to the outlaw torn, bleeding me, the unforgiven 2, until it sleeps, carpe diem baby, fixxxer etc the lyrics and music arent just put together, they are perfectly .. i cant think of a word. just listen to the lyrics and the music and you'll understand...

metallica rox ;)

u guys seen the live performance of master of puppets on 1997.... that and one... i like one on the cd, but when they use effects on everything, it makes it sound so much better, the point im getting to is.... their old stuff with new effects, has to be the best metallica ever

Metallica rocks, the Kill Em All album is my favorite

back to the front 11-20-2003 07:09 PM

Dang if this aint the best thread idea ever. anyway....does anyone here know the solo to Four horsemen? just wondering. that song kicks ***

Mustaine27 11-20-2003 10:16 PM

The Solos to The Four Horsemen are quite simple actually.....do you mean does anyone know how to play them, or does anyone have the tab for them? I love the solos from Kill 'Em All, FAST & EASY is the key!

Ludicrous Kumquat Of Death 11-21-2003 12:14 AM

Kill "em All , Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets were the best albums in my opinion.
Cliff Burton kicked ***

Kirk's Puppet 11-21-2003 01:35 AM

What's the easiest guitar solo on Kill 'em All? I can only play Nothing Else Matter's solo :( and Master of Puppet's mid-solo :( and oh yeah, One's tapping solo (the tapping part only) :(

Seriously, fuck off, and learn how to read posts. Clearly he insulted half of the people in this thread, including you, that is, if you were reading his post. Hetfield: "St. Anger Sales Are A Bummer"
19 Nov 2003 Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently told US news agency Reuters that the sales of the band's latest album, 'St. Anger', which now total 1.5 million copies, are "a bummer".

"In Europe it's doing really good, and some other places," explained Hetfield. "It is what it is. We can't change that. We do our best and that's all we can do. It's a bummer,"

1.5 million? Most bands would give their right arm for sales figures like that in the US!

Metallica's motormouth drummer, Lars Ulrich, added that 'St. Anger' is the band's biggest album in Europe since 1991's 'Metallica'.

"'St. Anger' is a very challenging record," said Lars. "US rock radio programmers seem more interested in playing bands like Nickelback these days."

But his opinions are much less narrow-minded than that prick who came in slagging people off for saying "I like Unforgiven2" or whatever. Since when does Chimaira EVER have a go at people for no reason? No, never.

I think it's silly that metallica is saying this, they do have enough money, but the only problem is they've been spoiled with too much money, so when they see they've had a decline in sales from their steady money they've generated (millions), it's gonna hurt them in some way, that's what we dont understand, and it sucks that they have be millionaires.

I think one of the major reasons st. anger didn't do well, is because of the album itself. The songs were mediocre, and the production was horrible. This could be a wake up call to metallica to start recording better albums and maybe return to a thrash state or put out a better songwritten album.

Wow, then maybe Lars should let him take over, since he sucks so much!

Anyway, history just keeps repeating itself. It's completely obvious that Metallica's upcoming CD, regardless of which music style it's gonna be (be it country, rap-rock or gospel) will sell millions, and no matter how unoriginal it will be or how much it might suck, it's gonna sell millions and there's gonna be lotsa noobs who think it's a masterpiece. Mark my words, even the ****tiest CD ever would sell millions, just for having "Metallica" written all over it.

Very good points.

I'm hoping (or guessing :upset: ) that the next cd (if there is one, most likely yes, and it will be the last one) will be something epic. like the black album or the thrash days. I can stand load/reload, but they aren't a BIG SOUND sorta album, if you catch my drift. I have a good feeling about the next album. Metallica is a smart band, they will shape up, i'm sure. They do like their fans no matter how filthy rich they are. I'm hoping the next album will be good. Thats all i can say. I belive it will be a mix probably. Songs similar to the stuff on load/reload, and a couple of good thrash songs, and to end it some of the black album tunes. Speaking of tunes, i think they will prolly switch back to standard, i'm guessing metallica will get sick and tired of playing in drop d. After this next cd, expect a huge box set with everything they've done. That, i'll buy for sure. But you know thats all imo (cept the box set, i'm sure they'll do that, no doubt)

Metallica man of bass 11-21-2003 10:36 AM

as much as i like st anger i think it was the worste album they eva brought out i want them 2 go back 2 the heavy ,long a*s*d solo songs that we all love

mister_riz 11-21-2003 11:12 AM

I'd like to see a hell of a lot more collaboration between bands/band members like Metallica. It happens in rap all the time and it really works well and sounds ace. For example imagine Metallica and Guns N Roses (original line up) working together for a song or album? It'd sound excellent and I dont see any reason at all why they cant.

superpeer 11-21-2003 11:14 AM

that wouldn't be metallica-ish :upset:
